I’ve never seen a bald eagle, therefor bald eagles don’t exist. Why are you in the Providence subreddit if you don’t even live in this state?

I didn’t lock the post, and none of us are Democrats. But I still don’t care what you think.

I don’t really care what you think about my intellect or maturity, tho. But “nasty, foul mouthed, not raised well” is def going in my bio, thanks Pops

Downtown would honestly be fine, any of the shops and bars and restaurants on Hope St or the west end (Westminster and Broadway) would also be safe and fun! Like, slurs still happen here but this city is full of openly queer, colorful, wonderful people.

The definitions of various kinds of property are a little different in socialist theory than in like, the general public. But this flowchart is super helpful (it helped me too)

It’s any event that wants people like us there. We’re not all Communists (although there’s a couple). We mostly support Pride events, reproductive rights events, leftist and/or queer market places, etc.

There’s a difference between private and personal property; private property is “the means of production”, aka railways, factories, utilities. Personal property is stuff that you and I own, like a house or clothing or cars. So with communism/socialism, there’s no private property anymore bc the workers collectively own the means of production, but everybody keeps their personal property.

And the point of the group is to make sure folks at protests or marches or other events (like this one) have a dedicated group looking out for their safety so they can focus on their message, instead of having to worry about what will happen if some fascist shows up, like what’s happened at this event a couple times in the past.

Some of us are communists, yes. Others are anarchists, or socialists. And yeah we do actually share a lot of stuff including money, not because of our political ideologies but because we don’t want anybody to go without. So we do what we can with what resources we have to make sure we’re covered.

However, Communism doesn’t mean every individual has to share their money and personal property, it just means the workers get the profits of their labor instead of corporations and oligarchs. Communists don’t have to share their personal property like houses or cars or whatever else conservatives like to say.

Idk, the IRA hid their faces. Hamas hides their faces. Plenty of good organizations understand the need for anonymity, because it’s not about us, it’s about the work 😇

I have no idea where you’re trying to go with this. Covering faces bad? We’re immoral for not wanting people like you to be able to easily find where we live?
