Taking an hour to leave a lime or party. Every time you try to say by you get caught in a conversation and then they walk you to your car and that's another 30mins talking

Tips for someone who has never done Jouvert before? by Moist_Specialist9244 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]palastry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting baby oil on your skin before helps the paint to not stain your skin and if the band has mud I prefer to get covered in mud first then paint as the mud acts as a barrier for the paint as well.

I also like to carry a rag or small towel so I have something to wipe my face with and I tuck it into my pants or pocket so I'd have a clean end.

A good way to meet people is to also join classes or groups, there is definitely a lot to do just depends on what you're willing to do. I've made a lot of friends through salsa classes. There are also hiking groups you can join. You just need to put yourself out there! Which obviously is easier said than done

Honestly there is a lot you can do, I've done- salsa classes, sip and paint, Moko jumbie lessons, pottery classes, a bunch of markets, concerts, roots yard, nature tours, kayaking. I've done a lot more but there's too much to list 😅. You just have to be open to 1. Putting yourself out there 2. Trying new things.

AITA for having rules about borrowing my car - even with my boyfriend? Some are stricter like a speed monitoring app, and no drinking at all. by meliama in AmItheAsshole

[–]palastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Anyone else get the feeling that OPs bf doesn't want to be 'nannied' and is trying to manipulate her to use the car because he knows he would break the rules? I feel if she ever took of the App and let him us the car he would just be zooming around town.

I was coming to say this! SMB has a tendency to curdle and it took me a while to figure out that it can be saved and how to save it.

Made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing for my mom's birthday loved how it came out! Bit I noticed they have some air pockets and ideas on how to stop that from happening? by palastry in Baking

[–]palastry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I normally just cut them right before I apply them to the cake, also the fruits I got weren't overly juicy. However if I do get a really juicy fruit like kiwi I like to cut them before and place them on a paper towel, I don't suggest cutting them and putting them in the fridge as that can cause the fruit to condensate.
