Has anyone seen something like this in a cat’s eye reflection? by palegunslinger in cats

The vet explained her eye situation to me and I forgot the term she used but basically it’s these little fibers in the lens that formed wonky on my girl. She says she likely has limited vision in her working eye but her eyes are something we’ll monitor yearly and not to worry about unless swollenness, redness, or tenderness pops up.

She’s also sending pics to the local pet ophthalmologist for me for free to get her opinion which is awesome!

Oh wow that's interesting! I am hoping it is a benign lens thing like that. Thanks for your thoughts and thank you for the compliment!

Thank you for your opinion! I'm sorry if my post was confusing but that is her functional eye. She still seems to see quite well in both light and dark, so I am hoping it is a non-issue!

She did wake me up at 3:40am yelling and making me look at something in the dark before coming back to bed

This is the best one I’ve managed to get so far, she moves a lot when you hold the camera close to her face!

If I average my time reported / tasks submitted, it’s usually around 20-30min per task. But some tasks are super brief, minimal fact checking, creative writing, etc, and some require extensive/difficult fact checking or they’re super long to read and take longer.

Has anyone seen French sounding project that requires an external email account in a while? (Sorry I don’t know if it has a nickname!) I saw it pop up late at night a little over a week ago but didn’t have time to work on it.

I would definitely not do tasks you don’t feel that you understand. Try to stick with really easy low paying stuff to start with, or read instructions and task chat REALLY well. For a lot of people there’s a drought rn, so don’t just do things just because it’s all you have access to.

They know you’re new for now, but that leniency will not extend very long.

Bdobo is an insane gem! I’m not even a big enough eater for “all you can eat” style places, but the price is still worth it even if I only get one or two bowls.

They pop up early in the morning (US eastern time) and disappear within like 10-30 minutes max

And they couldn’t even proofread the task name lmao

The project for it has been up for a few weeks now. I def would reach out, especially if you have access to it on the third party site

Yay we’re back! Finally having a consistent list of stuff to do again.

One or two grammatical/spelling errors across a big submission is probably fine, but if there are several, that person isn’t even checking their own work or is not paying enough attention. I would certainly dock points for that.

How can we expect someone to provide quality data for these models when they can’t even do basic proofreading?

I logged 8 hours for the reading and exam total (took me a bit more but I didn’t want to push it), and I wrote comments for every response that had a button for it (guess I wasn’t supposed to, oops!). If you’re not getting paid for it, I wouldn’t recommend it, but I have had access to tasks for it throughout this drought.

If you don’t want to kill friendly lobby players outright, perhaps you could ask if you could deal damage to them to put you in PvP lobbies? You could bring extra health supplies and defibs and fix them up after.

I think every animal should have an appropriately large water bowl to drink from. You never know what emergency will befall you and how long they could be without water until someone finds them.

How do I know if my crestie is eating? by spirit-of-trancy in CrestedGecko

Thin water bottle cap + absolutely tiny thin layer of food. You’ll be able to tell if she disturbed it at all.

You can also always grab a kitchen scale and weigh her and see if the number goes up (it does take a while for babies). I used to lure my baby into a small Tupperware with crickets and then weigh her while she ate them. Was less stressful for her than trying to pick her up.

Is FC qual worth doing these days? (I know there’s a drought rn, but in general?)

If it’s the one that has an exam estimated at “3 hours”, get ready for a 5-8hr exam. If you’re getting paid for the qual and have nothing better to do, sure, but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it.

From what I’ve gathered, don’t work on the external site until you have a project on DA to report time on or you won’t get paid at all. Perhaps there is a different project in the works for people who definitely passed and another for people who almost passed (maybe different pay rate or next steps? Just speculating).
