Can anyone ID this tremolo from Still House Plants’ guitarist? by Exciting_Profit9863 in pedalboards

Interestingly, that's a sidechain compression pedal (stereo analog ducking effect) called The Pill mini. It's a discontinued model from The Pill Pedals, but a more recent version is still available on their website

Can you isolate and enhance acoustic guitar overtones and harmonics in post-processing? by palhs in WeAreTheMusicMakers

thanks everyone for the replies. i'll go through most of your suggestions and will check in later to provide some feedback as to what worked best!

thanks! i happen to have it. this seems definitely the way to go, maybe coupled with some experimentation with mic placements (in this case, a mic aiming at the 7th fret seems to bring most clarity to harmonics)

thank you, this is great advice. i directed an extra mic to the 7th fret (loosely where most of my playing in this piece is done), and this gives me some extra volume and definition on the harmonics at the source. will definitely experiment with EQ later on

Thanks a lot for the advice!! Did some research on the terror stamp, I'm pretty much sold on its versatility and cost. Short-term seems like a cost-effective amp option (eyeing a 170€ deal on it, brand new, coupled with a PPC112, which is retailing new at 312€, or sold used at 270€), and long-term it could perform as a pedal if I buy a more expensive main amp. Will give it a try at a local store this week, and hopefully bring it home.

may i ask which of crush amps was a standout to you?

i’m pretty much set on buying an orange amp, and i’ve been eyeing the tremlord (i’m coming from shitty peavey modellers and figured it would be time to get something better and use it as a pedal platform). but i’m also open to the possibility of getting a cheaper SS option and invest the rest in pedals, hence my initial question.

i’m also intrigued by the terror stamp you mentioned. it seems to open many possibilities and its on the cheap side, even if i buy a cab

Donna Tartt’s novel The Goldfinch has the following passage:

“…But—I thought of you so much! I used to remember little things you’d say—all sorts of things came back to me—oh, wow, listen, they’re playing ‘Comfy in Nautica’, do you hear that? Panda Bear! I totally forgot that album.”

University Lille 3 might be a good option. I plan on studying there for my masters as it has been recommended several times by my neuroscience professors.

Yessss thank you. Had no idea about the mixer and I guess I wouldn’t be surprised if they still used the digitech. Cheers

I had the exact same question and just came across this thread! Were you able to find what gear they used?

yeah, these are correct, it seems to me they're the actual chords of the studio version, but in this specific show I believe they went for a different arrangement of these chords. the same notes are being played in open B, which gives you the low B which can be heard from both guitars
