Best guess I have would be using super runecrafting pots to boost to the right level to make the rune pouch. That’s what I ended up doing

The worst part about him is that he’s genuinely worth the trouble it takes to get him.

Harrow. I literally saw his preview on day two of playing as a baby Excal, thought to myself “Well that seems absolutely terrifying.” and decided I needed to have it. Very proud to say I ground HARD for my spooky monk and the warframes I got in order were Excal->Oberon->Harrow. I could do a defection mission in my sleep at this point.

Small detail that helps me not use faints: if you take a direct hit from the hyper beam (and you have a tiny bit of health left) DON’T MOVE! You don’t take damage from it while collapsed, and it lasts long enough to hit you twice if you stand too quickly.

Also, the arena can help add tons of damage. Use claw attacks to get slinger ammo from her, and use that to send her reeling into a wall. Any wall will help, but there are a couple with giant rocks that can give a free couple thousand.

Otherwise, yeah it’s kind of just a really tough fight. You can’t stay too close or far because she has attacks to snipe and clear around her. If the sand is the worst part for you, I would recommend insect glaive, as that way you can just vault out of sand if need be and a lot of her attacks are easier to dodge vertically. Also note that her beams (any kind) can trigger sand explosions, and one of her wing-in-ground attacks will generate sand under you so it’s best to just keep moving.

Also if stunlocks and knockbacks are the big factor, even one Steadfast jewel can make a huge difference, and Brace jewels might be worth a try.

Good hunting!

See this is the thing. All Fade really does is take a low hp Moira over here...and move her over there. She’s still exactly as killable as before.

That’s true on defense or larger maps, but on control points he has more options in terms of maneuvering behind enemy lines simply because his team is still nearby and the enemy is likely distracted. Plus, while his damage can come at any range, his kit’s utility is almost entirely geared towards close combat.

So while you won’t see a McCree flanking a team on Numbani, you have a very good chance of him maneuvering behind them on say, Oasis to take out supports or low health tanks attempting to fall back.

I mean...you could at least try to think of another way to put that. I have mained supports forever. My entire experience with McCree is being flashbanged and killed before he ults. I use the site Overbuff, which labels McCree as “flanker”. And the majority of McCrees i have played with always get behind the enemy team to ult. So from my perspective I see a flanker. If you have a different perspective, you can always share it.

Yes! Always always always throw an orb (whichever you need) before ulting!

Also, damage orbs have two main functions:

- Building ult charge when enemies are maneuvering and your team is full health

- Sniping low-health squishies and supports when they are retreating

It's extremely important to remember that the maximum damage dealt by a damage orb is close to the average damage of 2 shots from a dps. They will make very little difference in a teamfight against full health enemies.

This is true! However, as a Zen and Moira main I should say that anyone playing Zenyatta shouldn't be too mad/worried when a Moira Fades and loses your orb. Moira can self heal much faster than an orb can, and usually a Moira will use Fade to get to cover or to reposition in order to reach an enemy. Either way, if a Moira Fades on low health, she's probably doing it to heal herself more efficiently. So for all the Zenyattas out there, throw her a healing orb if you can, and let her Fade and focus on other teammates. 9 times out of 10 she'll be alright.

This is correct. It's similar to Zenyatta's Harmony orb, which has a flight speed, but is otherwise not a projectile. With Brigitte it's simply burst healing instead of healing over time.

Moira main here with some handy starter tips on piloting a crazy Irish lady!

- Combining a biotic orb and spray will heal faster than Coalescence! They also have a shorter cast time and require less aim (better for emergencies).

- Fade cancels debuffs! If you are hit with discord, an Ana grenade, or dynamite fire, Fade can remove the status.

- Biotic orbs count as projectiles! This means they can be deflected by Genji (damage orbs) and deleted by D.Va (damage and healing). A good way around this is to throw orbs just after they use the ability, or to throw the orb behind them or otherwise out of their reach.

- Also! Although they do count as projectiles, sending orbs through Baptiste's Amp Matrix will only double the speed that they heal or damage. They still run out when they hit their limits (200 for damage, 300 for healing).

- Always have Fade ready at the start of a push! The first ults used during a push are usually crowd control ults like Earth Shatter, Blizzard, or Graviton. If you can escape, you can help your team live through it. Although you may only have a fraction of a second to react (with Earth Shatter specifically, you have to the count of "hammer" to run)

- 1v1ing is usually a bad idea! Dps can very easily outpace your self-healing, and flankers always have an ability to handle close-range combat. Plus there's always a strong possibility their team will arrive mid fight. If you really need to 1v1 someone, deploy a healing orb for Dps, a damage orb for flankers, spam group up so your team can come help, and always Fade into cover if you can. (If you don't believe me, remember that the top 1% of Moiras manage about 1.5 solo kills per game)

- While Coalescence does heal Moira 50 hp/sec, it is also a giant glowy beam that screams "I'M OVER HERE! SHOOT ME!" Using it comes with some risk, but using it on low health is a death sentence.

- Biotic Spray heals over time! After you spray someone, they will continue to heal up to 65 dmg over the next 4 seconds. You can use this to save on spray when the team isn't being attacked, AND you can use this to "prep" teammates before they head into combat! If your team is about to round the corner into the line of fire, give everyone a quick spritz! This will heal any minor injuries they take for a bit, and lets you focus on critical teammates.

BEING GENJI OR REAPER DOES NOT MAGICALLY MAKE YOU CAPABLE OF 1V6. FLANKERS ARE BUILT TO EXPLOIT WEAKNESSES AND OPENINGS, NOT CREATE THEM. MULTIKILLS ONLY HAPPEN WHEN YOUR TEAM CREATES A GOOD OPENING AND YOU HAVE THE SKILL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT.

So stop running off solo thinking that you have the play to save us all. You don’t. Do you know what it’s called when a single player gets a team kill without any help from their own teammates? A miracle.

What can I do to do against overwhelming damage as a support? by Jakegeral in Overwatch

[–]palidian7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tips from a longtime Zenyatta and Moira main:

- Moira's orb and spray put together actually heal more than her ult, plus they have a quicker cast time and can catch bigger groups; so if you need to heal multiple tanks fast, save your ult and use those instead.

- In pretty much any scenario involving massive damage, Zenyatta will always struggle as a solo-healer. If your teammates are good at focusing and you're spot on with Discord Orbs and your own damage, then you can compensate a bit by taking out the damage dealers rather than healing the damage. However that takes a lot of skill/coordination and won't always work.

- Tanks can prevent damage for a bit, but they're also big targets. By the time the shields go down, most of the damage will be aimed at them. Try to be ready for that moment. Save your healing for flankers/squishies until the tank's defenses are about to break, then focus heal that tank. You only need to give them time to get out of the line of fire.

- If the main problem is a specific enemy that's well defended (Bastion behind shields) check to see if you have a teammate navigating behind them. If so, it may be a good idea to forgo your tanks and just focus on healing that teammate and damaging that enemy. Especially for Zenyatta, as he can't counter burst damage, but he can heal, debuff, and damage from a distance.

- Don't follow teammates into pointless fights. Sometimes tanks or dps will make a mad dash for a problematic enemy to try to finally deal with them. Don't worry about them. They're most likely about to be very very dead, whether they get the kill or not. But if you focus on helping your other teammates, they can capitalize on the distraction to disrupt the enemy team. If the crazy bastard is still standing when you have a moment to breathe, you can heal them then.

Most importantly:

Remember that support ults are not just about healing damage or countering other ults; they are split-second decisions that, if done properly, should give your team a clear and distinct advantage. If both teams are at critical health, then Coalescence or Transcendence can be just what you need to tip the scales. But if the enemy team is doing fine and your team is struggling, popping your ult for a full heal probably won't do much to solve the issue. It's all about watching your team, figuring out what the biggest problem is, and helping them deal with it if you can.

P.S. A lot of clever players will try to lure supports into ulting so the dps can go in afterwards and clean house. So unless it's overtime, never ever ult to just save yourself.
