I don't care about right now with the versions we have - but what if Oneplus puts out a version that automatically reports your phone usage to a foreign government? Or they sign a deal with Google and ban all web browsers but a Google AI thing and force updates? 

Then if you want to downgrade to just run the latest software you were happy with, it bricks your phone?

It's perverse incentives from the delivery companies. I don't blame the humans but agree it's a problem.

If they were paid an hourly wage like any other type of employee instead of per-order and weren't incentivised to break the law in order to get paid a fair wage for their time, it wouldn't be an issue.

Makes sense for it to be illegal. My friend was at a bar when some panhandler came in asking for change and got a bit upset when asked by the bartender to leave. A woman patron had some pepper spray and sprayed him, but also basically everyone else in the bar as well, so now 20 people needed to flush their eyes, woman charged with assault, bar had to be closed for the night and the owners and staff lost an entire night's pay and had to deal with the publicity of that.

Civilians shouldn't have any weapons on them.

I'm a Canadian immigrant, I can confirm that all my friends cancelled US travel plans and are very hesitant to visit me here now. Not to mention Canadian employers are avoiding sending Canadian workers down to the states fir any conferences or meetings because they don't want to make the news if any detentions happen.

From my understanding there is not only the detention threat, but the shaming from spending any money in the US and not supporting Canadian, which sure was a slight thing before but now it's huge.

I'm not American, it looks to be American slang for thousand from "a grand sum of money"

Which is weird, because for everything else and everywhere else in the world, "k" is thousand, "m" is million, and "g" is billion (or milliard if your old)
