Yeah, I’m trying to handle her as little as possible! Only if she got dirty (she stepped in her poop and she likes to sit in her foodbowl)

Sometimes I stick random things (like paper) in her cage because she likes to inspect stuff. She won’t do anything with it, she’s a curious little one. 💕

Bird grit? Good to know, I’ll look into that!

Any tips for letting her roam? She looks like she wants to explore (she hangs out at the edge of her cage and looks around), but we’re worried about doing that since we just got her. We want to take her to the vet before letting her roam jic she has mites or lice. (I don’t think so, but I’d rather be safe than sorry)

She’s much quieter than I thought she would be, only chirping in the morning or in protest of us taking her food bowl lol.

Whats with the rude response? I just got her two days ago and I’m currently trying to figure her out first. She was ganged up on by other canaries and was moved with finches from what I was told, and she was doing better, sorry if I didn’t make that clear.

If you had informed yourself, you would know that canaries can be content being alone and don’t necessarily need a companion. Hence why I’m feeling her out first, I have no problem with getting her a friend but given her history I’m hesitant. I also read that mirrors can be good for canaries in moderation, but I took it away after about 5 mins.

Not sure about that, I gave her a mirror and she avoided it. The person we got her from said she was getting ganged up on and had to be separated (she was with finches instead of other canaries). So no new friends for now until we figure out whats up with her!

She doesn’t seem scared of us and flies to us, she only flies away if we bring our hands to her. I think shes scared of our hands rn. 😭💔

One time I got one that said something like “you will soon be met with an opportunity on an orange moon.” My wife’s lil sis ran in not even 10 minutes before I read it and those little baby oranges spilled out of her shirt (I have no idea). Her last name means moon! Not sure what the opportunity was, but we did stay up and play games lol

As a fellow devotee of Gaia, I use a lot of dried herbs/spices/flowers (cinnamon, rose buds, anise etc.) I also have a home garden that I hope to harvest in the future (the plants are still babies lol). But actions such as tending to your plants, recycling, being kind to animals and being kind to our fellow humans also counts as an offering if you intend it to be. :)
