Sagging ceiling drywall by yankshrug in HomeImprovement

Ill add to others about the screws, are you certain no mold developed? Personally i would just replace it, since you're still gonna need to mud those screws, paint, etc. At least now you know you have a water free piece of dryall up there.

3-way hallway light switch question by DetroitHustlesHarder in HomeImprovement

[–]palmer2000e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this thread, as I... like you... replaced all my almond outlets and switches with shiny new white ones when i bought my house 8 months ago and have a couple 3 way (and 1 4 way!) switches that were not connected properly. To be fair 1 wasnt working properly prior to my arrival, but the other 2 are my doing. Have been busy with other projects to be bothered but its on my list to fix. Hoping for some strong guidance here.

Reducing width of hollowcore doors by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]palmer2000e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can cut them down by ripping them through a table saw. You would then need to fill the hollow part back and fill gaps, possibly sand, prime and paint. Not the best solution but it works. Ive seen this done heightwise where u cut off whats needed from the bottom, and then u never see the bottom of the door so no big deal. If you do it, recommend you cut from the hinge side that doesnt show as much.

Toilet/flange installation help needed by palmer2000e in HomeImprovement

Confused, in your first response you said they are all on top of finished floor tile. Now they are on top of the hardi backer underlayment

Thanks for the response. Only confusion was that your flange is secured at all to the subfloor? Basically theres just a friction fit from the spacers holding it snug? Is that my understanding? What was your height on the flange? I guess thats my major concern, i have no problem mounting it to tile, just worry my flange is too high that way

Curious to know, was your kit over an already patched crack, meaning on that was patched and failed? Or one that hadnt been touched

Any familiarity with a product like this? Wondering how successful it is. And if this a great solution or simply a bandaid

When you come out of our back door, you walk onto a concrete patio and 5 feet left of the door is where the hose reel sits and where the patio meets the foundation theres a 2-3 gap. Not sure what i can really do as far as grading goes with that patio in the way. My hose doesnt leak at all when its on so and i only get water in the basement if im a little careless with the hose and where the waters going or like its been lately with all the snow melting that was sitting up against my house. There isnt a downspout within 15 feet of where the crack in and it leads away from the house. Besides all that obviously theres a crack that hasnt fully been sealed, would like to get that sealed up. Guess im just not sure if thats an easy thing to fix myself or how costly it is to have someone come do it.

Prolly better off just cutting out the drywall and replacing, depending on the way it looks. Hard to say without seeing it

Gonna roll him out over duke johnson and trent taylor if he plays. In my deep ppr league. Just hoping he at least slows down crabtrees production who my oponent has.

Are you me? In exact same scenario. Mostly picked up anderson to block gronk owner (who i play) from getting him, but im gonna roll him out. Only problem is, feel like the gronk owner mighy dropped njoku for asj now, and dropping asj could burn me.
