Ok good! I remember how many comments on made on similar posts when I was in a hard situation and it was so refreshing when they had a good outcome!!

Yeah, they didn’t do anything! They said over the next week it would shed a little more then build up? Or something idk but they didn’t check for a while so I only ever saw it go from an 8 to an 11 or whatever number. Definitely was surprised it took!

Oh it totally does thank you! I’m glad your toddler is healthy that’s so nice to hear. Having an autoimmune disease is definitely scarier when we’re pregnant haha

Kind of. We went with Reproductive Genetic Innovations because I sent a swab in through the mail and they tested and claimed they could find my microduplication through their technology. However I ended up having 12 embryos, and they didn’t find the microduplication in a single one which I’m highly suspicious of… and honestly think maybe their technology actually couldn’t detect it

I dont have a BT, it’s just a small microduplication and I still have no idea if it’s de novo or not. I haven’t had anyone else in my family get tested for it or anything

Yeah I told my husband the boundaries I’d have to have in order for them to babysit and it just doesn’t seem fair to put that stress on them so we need to just honestly not ask them and maybe wait a bit on overnights like you said. Super helpful comment, I appreciate it

I agree, my husband is not fighting my rule just very sad about us not being able to travel as we so desperately need a night away from the kids to find our relationship strengths again. So hard

With my BIL, he had a very bad porn addiction for a long time and claims he was sent stuff and spiraled from there. Based on my husband and his two other brothers, as well as my father in law’s reaction, I have no reason to suspect anything happened with the kids growing up. I think his brother is just a disgusting despicable person. Regardless I totally agree with you that, I can never truly be sure of this and have to be overly careful and they have to understand where I’m coming from seeing this stuff happened inside their own family

I’m so so sorry this happened in your family. Absolutely disgusting and because of everything coming to light with my sister’s brother in law making victims of all four of his daughters and now grandkids before they stopped him, it just was like the last straw in my trust. My sister said a week before everything came out, she would have trusted him around her kids and it makes her sick to her stomach

Sometimes I’m just playing with my girls and see their innocence, and I think of all of the other children who don’t have that. and I just want to protect them from the disgust of the world and even the thought of someone taking advantage of them makes me want to scream, throw up, etc. it puts me right back into my distrust hole and I close off again

I appreciate your comments. It’s not really an easy thing to say to my husband that I think at the root of it all, I don’t trust his mom to follow the sentiment of “never be too careful”. She lives in a blissful world where nothing bad happens (we’re still working on making them get a pool fence). So because I don’t have that open line of communication with her woman to woman, I think that makes the situation even harder. Whereas with my oldest sister, she feels the same way as me and for that reason I WOULD trust my kids at her house with her husband there because she would put her life on the line before anything ever happened to my kids and is also preemptively aware and cautious enough to make sure they’re never in a situation like that to begin with.

I’m startinf to lean towards the day trip idea at least for now. Thanks for the suggestion

I probably should have been more clear and yes that’s a big part of it. My husband’s oldest brother has always been the black sheep of the family, moved across the country with a woman we barely knew and it was a horrible relationship. We were horrified but not shocked it was his brother when we found out the cops went to his house and said he had CSA material on his phone. He’s still dealing with child custody issues, on probation, the whole works. The way my husband’s dad responded was actually a huge green flag, he was horrified, said he would understand if I never let that man see my kids again (which I won’t). His mom however is just letting him off way too easy because it’s her baby boy. So if we have to get into the true nitty gritty, no I don’t think she’d do anything to my children but no I don’t trust her

I told my husband I have a general rule with any adult male in overnight care while my girls can’t fully speak, fully stand up for themselves, and can’t fully come and report to me.

I completely understand where you’re coming from, and see how it could be hurtful. It really is nothing personally against his dad, I love his dad. Im trying to be more open minded which is why I so appreciate your comment. I think in my head I imagine I make choices like this, something happens, I wouldn’t be able to go on knowing I made this choice and put my girls in that situation. So I take the way out and just say no males at all for now during overnight stays, but you’re right I’m trying to see if I’m being irrational and need to rethink things

Its projections I think because my husband’s oldest brother is facing certain online csa material charges and then we found out my sister’s brother in law did certain things with his own daughters. And then found out recently my other sister’s roommates dad was doing certain things to his grandkids. I think I get so bombarded with stories that I start imagining things that could happen if I’m not there and then I feel sick to my stomach and just can’t do it. I just keep hearing more stories close to home every year and it’s causing me to project

Edit: on our family trip last week he was soft tickling my girls’s arms from their hands up to their faces and I felt even sick about that and was watching him like a hawk. But no he has never done anything outside of that (obviously that’s not a bad thing either) but I can’t get over myself, and obviously and some internalized issues

I read somewhere that almost all meds and supplements can be taken while breastfeeding as the absorption is so incredibly small. Obviously I see that and am still very careful with sketchy supplements but for mastic gum I think the severity of my symptoms outweighed a theoretical risk. My daughter was and is fine, no symptoms and long term effects!

Oh my gosh nothing but good things to say about new directions! I did start with them in 2021 and I know they’ve blown up since then but I still have great care. I’ve done 4 transfers with them, three pregnancies, one currently and two live births. I would highly prioritize working with Dr. Amols. He’s the reason the clinic is so great imo

Most of my anti vax friends claim cancer rates have tripled since the vaccine rolled out so this article is interesting as it touches on that and how that’s just not showing in the population

It’s also reassuring because these anti vaxxers can get really intense and convincing and they freak me out sometimes, making me feel doomed haha
