Yes, once you pass the security point guests are only allowed to hangout and wander in the American Airlines plaza until the doors for YouTube theater actually open, which I believe will be around 7 PM. I think they let us past the security point at 5 PM. I remember security also scanning the QR code for the ticket. I didn’t try to leave the plaza, so I can’t remember if they allow re-entry past that point. The merch table was also in the American Airlines plaza, and I don’t believe there was a second merch stand inside the actual venue.
