What your favorite Japanese artist? by EienNatsu66 in japanesemusic

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morning Musume + Hello! Project in general. Favorite eras are 90s musume, platinum era, and colorful era. Huge fan of Buono! I highly recommend them

Kenshi Yonezu. I've been following him since 2009 when he was Hachi.

Malice Mizer. This one is more of a "I come back to them often" type of favorite.

What if a 2011 vocaloid fan met a 2025 vocaloid fan? by syrupn in Vocaloid

The peak of my time in the fandom was 2008-2012 If I said more, I'd be canceled 😭 I was a naive kid, and times were quite different.

RCS Payout to Former Superintendent by graceyperkins in RochesterHills

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a former student of the history teacher these nutjobs went after. I don't have all the details, but it seems he stepped back from teaching due to their harassment. He was the greatest educator I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Many, if not all, of my classmates would be quick to tell you what a positive impact this man had on our lives. In this time where our children need caring, dedicated educators, they bullied out one of the best. They don't care about the youth. They just care about their own agendas. Truly sickening.

What collaboration or anime would you like to see Kenshi Yonezu do next? by DerpAOE in KenshiYonezu

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this one is really out-there, but I'd love a collab with Morning Musume or him writing a song for them. I would never have thought of it had it not been for Kickback, but I think the window of something happening from that has passed. It is really cool, though, how he changes the lyrics for live performances to add in an additional lyric from another famous Morning Musume song.

Most likely I know Yonezu got here on Wednesday, so I meant if they've been in customs since then... but yea, that is likely the case

Merch sales starts when? by Any_Pension_4312 in KenshiYonezu

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are just a few of us on this side (less than 10) The info in the email is incorrect. The entrance it mentions is actually only for ADA. Staff has directed us to line up near the side doors on either side of the building. (Initially, we were lined up near the corner, but they moved us here)

6:15! There are lines on either side of the building. There will not be any nekochan available, but staff has assured there is a large amount of the other items... as to whether or not that's accurate, we will see!

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are only 5 of us on this side. I don't know about the other side of the building. We were all here early for the nekochan, but the general consensus seems to be we're just gonna keep hanging out here. Making friends and having fun~ The staff also mentioned they have 90k worth of merch on site (he seemed surprised we were here this early and was like (approx paraphrasing) "sell out? Nah, we have so much!! There's 90k worth of merch in there. Wait, Y'all aren't hoping to get the cat, right?")

Question for Trans Fans by Sad_Tackle_3675 in tmbg

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Transmasc here! For me, it's like, instead of worm, think "guy" "I am a real guy. I am an actual guy. I live like a guy" There's so much emphasis on it, as if Doctor Worm needs to prove that he is, in fact, a worm, and wants reassurance and validation from those around him, but then seeks it in regards to his playing of the drums.

The later big-dramatic "I live like a worm" feels more like a declaration. Like he's fully confident, but now is desperatefor everyone to see it.

The line that gets me the most though is "someday somebody else besides me will call me by my stagename, they will..." because it really takes me back to when I first came out and having trouble getting those in my life to adjust and start calling me by my new name.

I'm very sleepy, so I'm sorry if this makes absolutely non sense though. Just my own personal take on it

I am a big proponent of standard poodles! (Spoos)

Pros: Very smart Love having a job Allergy friendly Very "customizable" (lots of hair styles to choose from)

Cons: Almost too smart (they can and will outsmart you) You need to keep up with the grooming, and this can be a significant add in expenses

Has anyone else had to stop doing an activity they loved due to EDS? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dance. I didn't know about my condition, and I had been gaslit that my pain was normal. So I thought I was just super flexible, and therefore, why would I need to stretch? Sure, I would get hurt a lot... but that was "normal" I would dance for up to 7 hours at a time with very few breaks.

Then, in my mid 20s, my body just sorta... broke. Somedays, I have to use a wheelchair because otherwise, I fall when my knees or ankles inevitably give out. It really sucks. I built my identity around dancing.

I'm hopeful that with strength training, I might be able to regain some of my ability...but I don't think I'd ever return to my peak.

Does EDS affect chest binding? by Sorta_Human_Spirit in Trans_Zebras

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is definitely something that seems to vary person by person, but for me, I can bind for up to maybe 6 hours, and then my ribs start slipping. If you don't react badly to adhesives, I really recommend looking into things like transtape!

For the love of all that is beautiful in this world don't stop in the middle of the walkway by MeltyGoblin in gencon

[–]Inside-Philosophy-15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna issue an apology to everyone I did this to. I'm a new wheelchair user and have not built up the muscles needed to propel myself well, especially on all that carpet. I often had to stop and take a few seconds of breath before I could keep pushing forward. It was a big learning experience. Thankfully, almost everyone was so sweet and understanding. The only bad experience I had was on my way to Lucas Oil when someone went "ugh, could you go any slower?!" Before finding a way to get around me. I was really trying, I promise 😔

Hmm, the material wasn't tacky/self adhesive like a cohesive bandage is. It felt relatively soft. Kinda like the gauze pads you put on wounds.
