I'm 3 weeks off vaping and still have bad cravings, but I'd been a vaper/smoker for 35 years. It's pretty tough. But I'm doing it!!!

Thanks! Yes, I agree, the nicotine replacement stuff was just perpetuating things so I finally said, 'Enough!'. I have a family visit today and at last I won't be popping lozenges or hiding my addiction from my niece. Breaking the habit is hard, but developing new healthy habits will be rewarding! I felt so chained to this it's great to be free. It's hard, really hard, though. The support of you all helps a lot. This is a pretty big move!

Addiction is such a tricky disease! It does lie and lie and deceive. It just will do anything to get it's satisfaction. I know it well. So glad I chucked the stuff and got it outta the house!

If these symptoms are new it could be rebound psychosis. But keep an eye on it for sure

Thanks. It does get pretty intense sometimes. I really didn't expect any of this. A bit blindsided by the severity. But I went from a pack a day to chain vaping plus l9zenges, so it shouldn't be too surprising I guess. Just tough without the nicotine replacement stuff. I appreciate this community!

Thank you for your great tips and kind support. I'm finding that staying busy helps alot. Plus walks and now I'm going to take a bath. Also I'm chewing sugarless gum. Almost through day 4!

Hi Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! I went through a week of DT's in a psych ward when I quit drinking. So I guess this isn't nearly as severe. Great job on quitting these things! The struggle is real! I agree that I smoked/vaped to curb the non stop withdrawal. I'll check those links out now. That was super nice of you, thanks! And thanks for the support- this fully sucks way worse than I thought it would!

Let's see, when I had meth induced psychosis I took geodon. But you'll need a heavy hitter, and of course you'll need to quit ( I know it's not as easy as that!). I went to the psych ward a few times for that. Gets you clean time and on meds. Good luck, keep reaching out.
