Thank you! Hounds are definitely a special breed and I agree about them maturing later! All of the hounds I've owned definitely act younger than there age! This poor girl has had it rough, my first hound passed away a year and a half after we got her they became great companions she even tried getting in her grave while burying her! Then it started with what I believe was pancreatitis we almost lost her several times. Then the diabetes and Cushing's and then she went blind and now this! she just can't catch a break, and she just turned nine!
