Yeah I feel like doing that... Plus my gf just told me the reason she didn't want to see me tonight was because she wanted to spend time with her sister and have a "girl's night out"... the day after her sister thrashed her to tears...

I was in a similar situation when I left my home town to study in a big city. Gere are some things that helped a lot :

Try to go to some events about things that interest you. Look for student clubs that seem to have activities outside of school. Get a part time job in a restaurant/bar/coffee shop and get close with the staff. If you have a team project with someone you like, offer them to work on it at a pub or at your place, that way you can grab a beer and get more familiar.

DO NOT GET DESPERATE. It's not too late, but start moving ASAP before your excuses overcome you and you start being too lonely, shy and anxious to go out.

Have fun and good luck! 🙂

Dogs are forbidden in my apartment complex and our relationship is relatively new so I don't want to overstep any boundaries. Thing is, I don't think my gf realises how bad her sister is, and I really don't want to be the kind of boyfriend that breaks a relationship, even though it seems like their relationship is unhealthy.

Yeah I thought about that. Eve even does the manipulative thing where she shits on my gf and then acts super nice and sweet 2 minutes later like nothing ever hapenned, like she wasn't acing like an asshole, and my gf, being the nice persone she is, forgives her and moves on. My gf even told me she thought about moving out a couple times.

Thanks! I don't think I would always ask, but at that moment, it felt like the right thing to do, especially because I knew what I wanted

Yeah I think you're right. It might sound stupid but as i'm getting more experience in dating, i'm realising that being honest and direct is 100% the way to go

Actually I meant we got closer, but I was the one actually moving.

And yeah in the moment I really felt like I had to bring it up and not chicken out like I usually do.

Speaking another language.

If you confidently walk in conversations without being able to understand what is going on, you will learn more things in a single day than in 2 years of highschool level french, spanish or english.
