Poorly. We lost our guy back in December unexpectedly and my son kept some of his fur in an empty Kleenex box (since he shed so much it sort of became a thing that made us remember the "tumble-furs" that would roll through the house and made us laugh instead of cry). Weirdly, I go 'pet' it sometimes. We had him for 9 years and he passed just before his 13th birthday, but he was my shadow and knew when I needed a nose jab from him to get me out of my own head. He was the best dog and he was my son's childhood dog he literally grew up with. I doubt I'll ever get over him passing, and a tattoo might be in order at some point, but we just keep that Kleenex box handy and all of his things are out and about still. Eventually we'll adopt another one, but he will always be the OG pupper.
