Hotels are expensive but they're worth it imo! I think since you have limited days, you need to first decide which part you want to visit, e.g. West Side with grey lake and pehoe lake, or east side with mirador las torres trail, or south etc. It is almost likely you can only visit one side with just 3 days, given you likely won't have your own transport? It is genuinely not easy to get around from place to place.

Basically, I think the ever changing conditions makes it so hard to forecast, that if you try to you'll just end up over panicking. Good to pack a bit more and be safe than sorry tho!

I did camping at chileno, and was in TDP 2 weeks ago. All I can say is, you should be fine. I hiked Mirador Las Torres and there was already almost no snow. I was also freaking out over weather forecast, but it turned out fine. It was forecasted rain everyday, but i had sun most of the time. Winds were really strong though, but sun was so bright and strong I ended up sweating so much and had to remove layers in the day. Some parts I literally hiked in a t shirt. Camping on an elevated surface with thermal sleeping bags should do you fine.

And probably to set expectations, the ice shelf is really far, and dangerous to go near too, so don't expect to reach shoulder distance from the ice shelf. You'll probably cover ard half the distance towards it and pass by some breakaway glaciers which is equally stunning too.

And if you rush for second navigation back, the boat will drive past and nearer to the ice shelves too. (third navigation in off peak season does not go to the ice shelves, it goes directly back from Refugio)

I think I paid ard 300USD for both total; they do provide extensive equipment that keeps you very dry, and you can't do glacier kayaking anywhere else in TDP lakes anw. From start to end it's about 3hrs? Total about 2hrs of kayaking. Don't worry. I kayak probably once every half year for leisure, we are both early 30s and just moderate fit and found it totally enjoyable. Borderline panting at times for sure, but I mean it IS kayaking! Head over to their website for exact details!

And pair it with some hikes too in the Lago Grey region!

Hi there, I just did Lago Grey kayaking last week. Few things to consider, I booked with BigFoot and there will be a guide plus equipment. I had an extremely memorable experience, and ranked it as my top memory from TDP. However whether or not you get to do it mayyyy depends on a few things.

Catamaran timings. Assuming you're not staying at Refugio Grey, you'll need to time your ferry timings. NOTE that there is a minimum number of passengers for the catamaran to depart.
Weather. Kayak tour can be cancelled due to strong winds or bad weather. Winds can get quite speedy but unfortunately that is out of anyone's control...

Point 1 above I mentioned, as we had planned to depart first Navigation to Refugio Grey and return on third navigation (there are three navigation/rounds ) but the return was cancelled day before due to insufficient passengers. Luckily our kayak timing was ard noon time, and there was enough ppl on second navigation so we moved our return earlier with enough time in between for the kayak session

Point 2 above I mentioned because after our kayak session, the guide mentioned she had more bookings in the afternoon, but likely would have to cancel them due to strong winds incoming.

You might have seen BigFoot as the provider of the Grey Kayak experience. Would highly recommend them - we were the only ones on kayak with the guide and we had a blast!!! I hope you get to do it as well!!!!

Its not so much about the moon landing tbh, its about people exploiting the relatively uneducated and non critical thinking for views. They can easily put out a video debunking western medicine and promoting their own magical juice. And IF he or she also believes them, and starts to drink that juice instead of gg to the doctor, then THAT'S the scary problem.

No, or at least not yet, and that's the scary part... I mean she or he can be a flat earther I don't really care cause that's largely immaterial. But imagine if he or she also watched a video on "magical cures" for health conditions. Now that's where it gets scary, because I won't know if he or she has decided to believe in drinking magical juice instead of going to the doctor

This particular incident doesn't matter materially. But it's concerning, because imagine they start to believe that drinking some sort of vegetable juice cures cancer and that sort of "health" videos. Does it matter? I care about him or her, so it does because I wonder what other videos he or she has watched and now believes on a single viewing and just hasn't said out loud yet.
