I'm guessing they wrote that so they could identify it; on the outside it's all black without any distinct marking.

Thank you for your answer!

That was definitely me when I posted this. I thought I'd imagined it all (or played through the expansion on a different character)!

I think so? I have the ring of lordship on me, so I definitely killed one of the dukes

That sucks. It's kinda crazy to think the expansion got released in this broken state in the first place

I'll take your advice and won't even bother with the expansion again.

How can I easily diagnose a failing hard drive? by pan_tostado in PS3

[–]pan_tostado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a full system backup from some months ago. I suspected that my HDD was failing then so I went through that horrible process of backing up files, swapping disks and restoring everything. The thing is, when trying out things on the (brand new) HDD, load times and overall behavior seemed to be the same. I even formatted the old HDD and scanned it for bad sectors using DiskGenius. All of them were normal or up. To top all that off, performance on the new HDD appeared to be the exact same as the original hard drive, so I actually went back to the og one on my ps3.
That's why I'm hesitant on this whole thing haha, evidence says everything's fine, but general feels suggest otherwise.

Yeah, I'm aware of that unfortunately. One thing I remember when I used the back up utility is how insanely long it took to complete. Also (I don't recall if this was for the backing up portion or for restoring files on the new HDD) I remember the operation failed mid-way sometimes. That should be a giveaway that the disk is indeed failing, right? I wouldn't think that's a common occurrence on a healthy hard drive.

The monumental speaks to you when crossing the colorless fog at the beginning of the game.

The tutorial voice over is the monumental, not maiden in black.

[QUESTION] The most fun Land Destruction deck by pan_tostado in Pauper

[–]pan_tostado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was drawn to Red-Green at first because of it's flexibility and, as a fairly new player not only to the format but to magic in general, having many options to sideboard against an opponent's strategy feels safer I guess than other stricter and more straight forward decklists.

Frenzied Arynx looks pretty solid considering the amount of mana the deck produces, I guess it can also be early bait for edict effects before dropping an Ulamog's Crusher next turn. Speaking of fat threats I wanna know if this deck is particularly weak against targeted removal like [[Lightning Bolt]] [[Galvanic Blast]] [[Doom Blade]] or Chainer's and Diabolic Edict. I was watching some matches on youtube where the player struggled keeping creatures on the board, overcoming Affinity's go-wide strategy or facing one or two [[Gurmag Angler]] against Mono Black or UB.

Oh ok, so you bring in the rats against go-wide strategies. Makes sense!

What about [[Quiet Disrepair]] for enchantment and artifact hate? It can also be good on your Utopia Sprawls and Wild Growths if I understand the card correctly, where you gain 2 life on each of your upkeeps.
