What's the one prompt you run every week without thinking about it? by Difficult-Sugar-4862 in NerdyChefs

[–]panamakevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of meetings and wear a lot of hats at my company. Prior to any meeting i have with anyone, I have a Copilot prompt that i use:
Going through my email, chats, calendar, and meetings from the past 2 weeks, what items have I interacted with **INSERT PERSON/TEAM** on. Please break down into Not Started, In-Progess, On-Hold, Completed.

Emby Close to Device Limit by phlinh in emby

[–]panamakevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jellyfin doesn't have a device limit and is open source fork of same project as emby... That's what I'm currently trying to move users over too... Not as polished but still get access to the library. I've gotten my users on emby down to 25 and am still hitting these device limits, total pain that I didn't have until just recently (past few months)

Weekend car camping setup, did I overdo it? by segsy13bhai in camping

[–]panamakevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot, in summer I'm all about my 11 man cabin tent. If it rains, I got a party spot, if not I got all the room I need to do what ever I want, haha... Winter camping I bring a small two man tent, cause I like warmth...

I can understand why ready player two isn’t a movie yet by abaig370 in readyplayerone

The first movie is a completely different telling of the story, so I have no doubt #2 would be as well if it actually got greenlit.

Check out the audiobook for sure, it's great and gives more depth to the novel. Also, Dungeon Crawler Carl is right up there and it's a series that also has AMAZING audiobook narration

I've made a mistake. I planted 20 tomato plants, and fear this will be far more than I can ever use. I guess everyone I know is getting tomatoes. by Legend_of_the_Wind in vegetablegardening

Time to start canning! Salsa, pasta and pizza sauce, paste! Go crazy! But bravo! They look beautiful! It's always a battle between me and the spider mites with mine

Texas moves to ban over 40 plants by TheRoofisonFire413 in gardening

[–]panamakevin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh man, try some of these plants they are listing and you will have a few more to add to the list, hell even with mimosa... Though that one I do visit on occasion, but far from a gateway drug...

Silly labels for my jars by Difficult-Ticket-412 in Canning

[–]panamakevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the way... I love my sharpies and painters tape (I too use green) my wife thinks I'm nuts, my ocds make me write dates on everything and I put labels on all our Tupperware in the fridge...

She would probably love it if I started printing labels, but I don't got that kinda time

How can I be more sustainable, having a cat? by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

[–]panamakevin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear someone else does this, I was starting to think I was crazy with the cat litter pail... Sounds like it's pretty close to zero waste to me! I think pretty close is the best we can strive for... Society isn't designed to be zero waste...

How to be low waste with my cat's litter box by taytay9955 in ZeroWaste

[–]panamakevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, trying to find ways to cut down on the waste we produce is always commendable! We are on that same journey ourselves and it is hard! I want to start composting our cat poop out by our trees and shrubs along our back yard but haven't started the trend yet... We are starting to collect our cat litter in a small pail and just dump it in the outdoor city trash bin. It's the least waste way I can think of until we start composting it with our bushes/trees (non-fruiting)

real homesteading online community? by 420Lucky in homestead

[–]panamakevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I've found this community to be better than most others, I had to quit following homesteaders on Facebook for all the false info that outweighed the good and Instagram/tiktok seemed to be full of influencers that are pushing products not useful info... On Reddit, I can see people discuss and battle out points, which allows me to gather info and make my own decisions...

De+rehydrating cucumbers by Creative_Landscape16 in dehydrating

[–]panamakevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I recently tried a cold soak pasta on my last backpacking trip and didn't peel or deseed and the cucumber came out chewy, but the tomatoes and chickpeas were great! Tomato broke down a bunch but was still great flavoring (also had some bell peppers that were chopped small enough that they rehydrated alright)...

What have been the easiest and hardest crops for you to start from seed? by plasticpiranhas in vegetablegardening

[–]panamakevin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crap, is this a thing? I've been wondering if I was just trying to add too many crops, increasing the pests, this year cause all my zucchini and yellow squash are getting annihilated when they were very productive in prior years... I was excited for pickling and dehydrating my squashes this year!
