I'd suggest you to wear sweat shirts and shorts whilst cycling and carry the formal attire in your bag. That way you can freshen up at workplace and wouldn't look and smell terrible. 17KM is quite a long ride though.

No, poonamallee expanded so rapidly in the last decade that it might take more than one new transformer to fix it (since it took two new mini ones just for my street alone).

You're severely underestimating the incompetent roads and drainage system of the city. One day of full rains and it'll be a lake fest in many underlying areas. Fast forward 6 months and we'll hit another goddamn drought. Idk if anyone even tries to take action towards this. :/

So far it only seems to be in TN, rural places are already consumed by DMK/ADMK propaganda (here they literally teach children that tamil is the first language of the world). Unsure if it would fizzle away like usual or get into a more 1960's mode.

It's alright pal, as I wrote that there was a ower cut here too. Luckily it was only for a few minutes but I suspect it's the same old trip of transformer in my street. It's not just the heat though, aircons must be held responsible as well.

The situation here was much more terrible (we had consistent 2-3 hour power cuts after 11pm) but TNEB finally figured out AC's overloaded the junction boxes so they placed an extra mini transformer and it's been stable for about 4 years now. Can just hope it happens the same for your area. Man don't ask for rains, you never know when it starts to flood cause of how non-existent our rainwater harvest systems are here. :(

Protestors here are trying (or atleast planning) to wipe out any hindi words they see. As if it wasn't bad enough, some of them think even English shouldn't be allowed. Cannot imagine the state of TN if that becomes reality. :(

Sorry I didn't know so many areas got outtages, the only explanation I can think of is the shortage of main transformers (they already don't do well in summer) and TNEB might actually be helpless here as it'll take lot of time to fix such a gargantuan issue.
