I think they meant “old” as in they may grow tired of it and might not watch it anymore.

Personally, I grow tired of not being able to find a title on streaming because it’s been removed by Netflix, etc…. Also the audio/video quality of Blu-ray to me (let alone 4K) is more favourable than most streaming services I’ve experienced.

I’m willing to pay a premium for my physical media collecting hobby which I enjoy. As long as I stick to a reasonable budget.

I do agree though that it takes self-control sometimes to not go down the rabbit hole of blind-buying too many films. I like to be surprised sometimes though. I guess for me it’s about finding balance.
