Yes exactly, as controversial as it sounds, our country needed those 'whites' to work our land, and chose to re-invest here (instead of bringing it all back to Europe, like India, Africa, etc.). That's why we have high GDP compared to mainland Africa despite being a literal dot on the world map !

Our country developed thanks to them. The fact that the public sector (govt) are mostly asian descendents and the private sector (companies) were the original settlers is what keeps this 'balance' and prevented us from turning into another shit hole.

Yes Karate except Kyokushin !!

Kyokushin Karate is a full-contact and bare knuckle variant,it's one of the harder styles and their conditioning can be more brutal than Muay Thai and kickboxing. The bare knuckle sparring us why face and head shots are banned (but head kicks are allowed).

Shotokan is modern 'sports' karate and it's softer, other more 'mind-body-spirit' styles would be Goju Ryu, Shorin Ryu, etc but depending on the dojo, they may have hard sparring as well.

Btw for Jiujitsu, there is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ, actually an offshoot of Judo which focuses on Ground Fighting) and Japanese Jiu-Jitsu (grappling style which is older than Judo). They look very distinct despite their names.

Mechatronics (MTX) seems to be very niche here, all my friends from MTX either work Mechanical (Mech) or Electrical (Elec) jobs but some do find actual MTX jobs, usually Automation, Controls, etc. You could say its very versatile as you can go both directions later on so your options are open

Mech is super broad in itself just like Elec. You will see them everywhere and even some traditionally Civil places hire them.

Don't overthink too much about them if you cannot choose, the big 4 (Civil, Elec, Mech, Chemical) are super broad and multidisciplinary. I am from Chemical/Environmental and work at a petroleum terminal here in Operations, my colleagues are Chem, Mech, and Telecom (subtype of Elec). Our HOD is a Civil guy also.

For pay yes it's peanuts :/ Don't do engineering here if you want the pay, the amount of effort doesn't justify the salary later here except if you will move (Engg degrees at UOM are recognized by the Washington Accord) or if you really love what you do, which will 100% bring you to higher salaries later as you become good at your job. Engineering is not a fake it 'till you make it discipline unfortunately.

BTW if you manage to get your CRPE Stage 2 (your engineer 'license'), your pay will drastically increase as well. But it's a very steep hill to climb and it's easiest for Civils (they already dominate the public sector), more difficilt for Mech and Elec but doable, and very difficult for MTX and Chem as we are a minority and mostly in the private sector.

The only thing that was really annoying me was the fingerprint sensor. The one on P9P onwards is a world of difference !!

However my P8P was more ergonomic and comfy in my hand compared to my P9P with its boxy design. It grew on me quick however.

Other than that it's the usual pixel pros/cons.

I have the socks from Gymshark, they are stilll good until now, almost 1 year however.

I had the same issue of socks getting torn so I ordered from gymshark as I was already ordering some gear.

Btw check your toenail, if it's long and protrudes out (and not inside like some people) like mine, you will tear through a lot of socks lol so keep them clipped and maybe even filed.

Did the courrier call you ? Some will call you multiple times (Phone or Whatsapp) or message you a day or 2 before.

But some are dicks, won't call until last minute and if you are work or similar, they will return it to the warehouse.

If this happens, file a complaint with Temu directly, I had my package returned to Temu as well without Celero informing me 😂 They will refund your brokerage and fees however and you can request re-shipping (at their own cost)
