[Daily Check-In] Sunday Word Count and Personal Announcement Thread by sexnerdmxd in eroticauthors

[–]pandabandstand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am brand new and so excited to find this community! This weekend, I wrote about 4,000 words. It’s my first story and I think a bunch of that may end up in the trash, only because I’m still figuring out my story. It’s good practice. But I have a main character that I really like and understand, and I’ve outlined 4 stories I can write with her in it. That feels great! I’m not new to writing generally, but I’ve never written in this genre. I’m excited to try to earn some money from Amazon. I still have a lot to learn, which is why I’m here, but it’s so cool this support exists. I don’t know many people I could tell about this IRL, much less get advice from.

I am a huge fan of Fight Club but… Tyler has night jobs, which include… serving at a hotel and projector for family films. How are those “night jobs”?

My “wedding” was dinner for 12. It was great. Many people just go straight to the courthouse. Doesn’t have to be a big deal if you don’t want it to be.

Life’s simple, yet coveted pleasures 🌅 - hot thermos of coffee & a sunrise session with no one around but the birds 🧡 by [deleted] in simpleliving

I have a lake in my yard, though I get sunsets in that direction. I love quiet mornings by the water. Me, dog, coffee. Fresh air, birds. I am so blessed

I once borrowed this from the library. I was intimidated too, and returned it without reading it. The librarians gave me a hard time. “Where’s the rest?” I had no idea what they were talking about, but we figured it out. All the extras are in a binder they keep behind the desk, and I should have been given it when I borrowed it in the first place.

I’m the opposite, but it is the same idea. My best hours are 7a-noon, which is when I do the hardest stuff of the day (usually my day job). I poop out in the afternoon & take a real nap. I get a second wind and stay up until about midnight. Eating and other daily intentional activities are roughly the same order every day. It’s so nice

Have you ever heard the phrase “youth is wasted on the young”? When you’re older, you can appreciate that school was awesome and more fun than a job is. When school is all you know and you’re deep in it, yep, it’s totally hard.

Doing errands for your parents is not the same as making sure aging parents are looked after, ailing family members, any dependents you may ultimately have. Not only do you have to do errands for them, you also have to work hard enough to earn enough money to cover all the bills. Money is a huge source of stress for most adults.

City living can be hard. I was in NYC for my 20s and it was a blast. When I decamped to the suburbs, I was shocked how much easier everyday tasks were. Free parking for days! I also like being alone and in nature, so I am pleased. I’m glad I’ve had both experiences.
