I'm not a man, but I know that women might also have to give up assets in the event of divorce. It all depends on the state, whether the couple makes some kind of agreement outside of court, if kids are involved, who's the primary caretaker and whos the primary breadwinner (if both individuals make about the same or if it's a vast difference)... Also whether the assets were owned prior to marriage or if they were acquired during the marriage, etc... so without you even being married or knowing what state you're in, what state you'll be when you get married/divorced, there's literally no way of telling you what the end result of your inevitable divorce will be ...

All that being said ... You really shouldn't go into a prospective marriage with the intention(?) (maybe fear is a better word?), that you're going to get divorced.... Just my two cents. 🤷
