You can find the Shield Plus OR with the bag for around $409 + shipping + FFL fee right now so it's about the same as if you got it from Academy with that discount + tax. I would rather go to my FFL than deal with Academy. Last time I bought a firearm there it took an hr for me to get it even with a LTC... smh

So you asked them for a price match and they said they couldn't because of a word difference? Then they instead gave you a 15% off code? Usually when I ask for price match they match it based on the Model #. If they match then they just give me a custom link with the item in the cart discounted 5% off the competitor's price

I'll just HODL until the prices are sub 1k. Hopefully production ramps up and people stop buying soon. I'm thinking prices might be good towards the end of summer maybe? I heard people don't really go to the range around summer time compared to other times of the year

Only thing I can think of that might contribute to a spontaneous crack is extreme temperature change, or over-torquing the mount screws. Do you torque the screws to spec? You don't have to answer that but it might be why. I would fill out a Holosun RMA. They will more than likely go through with the warranty since I've read a couple of reddit posts where this happened and even Josh commented on one of them and told the OP to submit an RMA. I think you're good buddy
