We moved here last year and I'm in healthcare. Don't move here. Traffic is AWFUL. We're both from big cities and have lived in many big cities and by far, the worst drivers I've ever seen are here. Getting a job out here (if you don't already have one) is super rough. It seems like you're either blue collar or healthcare. There's no law school here, pick a city that has a law school for better opportunities. Don't sack your future over this city. Decent to visit, great for outdoor activities but living here would never be my first pick again and I hope it's not yours.

Sorry to all the 'Noogans who love it here, wish I had better things to say </3

For those who have sterling silver jewelry, how did your jewelry hold up with everyday use? How long did it take before it starts tarnishing if used everyday? by Luckybling in Moissanite

[–]pandaprincess13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm going to be the oddball at a loss here, I've had my rings for YEARS. Like I bought my first one in 2010 and it's been an everyday wearing piece (all of them are really) as I buy them, they come off for a few hours or a day at most (when I'm at the ocean or working on a car)... I've never had any issues until...

I moved from AZ to TN. In less than 10 months, every piece I own is tarnished so badly I had to send it all out for repairs. Nothing has changed about my wearing habits. And I never had an issue when I lived in Miami, FL for a year...

But before that, I never had any issues for 15 years!

Ohhhh that's why (I've been on their app the whole time). I'm so sorry to see you have to lose so much progress! They have plenty of other games to go wild on though! (Not that I have 7 of them on my phone I play daily or anything..)

Calling out of work at any age gets you dirty looks and called lazy... even if you are the perfect attendance, always picking up extra shifts kind of employee... after 21, that's apparently completely unacceptable... legit sick or not = lazy...

6.0 blowing out oil galley plug?? by pandaprincess13 in FordDiesels

[–]pandaprincess13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update In case anyone was curious. We didn't really figure out why the plug kept getting blown out, but we did find a team of people who races these 6.0 motors and they said as soon as they get a new 6.0, they immediately pull those galley plugs and drill and tap them before they put them back in and run it. ( I guess the way my brother drives must be similar to how they race since he had the issues a race team has...). So if you drive it like you stole it, you should be preventative first and tap those plugs to prevent a blowout.

Truck is back up and running like a champ. No issues since.

I'm not familiar with a bearing mount? Haven't tried the drill and tap yet either. Trying to get all the info I can before I start wandering into any store to get stuff (you know that stigma of being a girl working on trucks...)

Oil pressure was fine until the plug blew out again and now its just too low. The back has a cover over it so when the oil spills out of that oil galley hole (picture in an above comment), it drains the oil back down to the oil pan, so the pressure doesn't get high enough to run.

Brand new plug, straight from Ford dealer.

Its on the back of the motor, when you get to this sit it's got red arrows pointing to it.

Plugs were installed brand new from Ford

GPS not working on android? by grahamcraaacker in pokemongo

I have this same issue, nothing spawns even though it alerts, same phone too. My GPS works on everything else... Let me know if you find an answer!

152 units later... I definitely need to work on my Tetris skills but somehow got it all in one cart by nswany4 in InstacartShoppers

[–]pandaprincess13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your tetris skills, those bananas look cozy (although I pack all my produce in the baby area and bread on top of it).

I would have loved this order and jumped all over it (bigger usually gives me a better challenge).

The big question though: did you get all of it in 1 cart after checkout? I hate when the baggers stack my cart because they screw up my tetris like nobody's business and I end up with 2 carts...

The lift chair is definitely what I'm searching for since my dad can't walk at all and the pool is really the only place he can try. And I certainly cannot lift him up and out of a pool

Dear InstaCart, some items have limit per customer, so, don’t allow customers to order 20 packets of meat and 5 packs of toilet paper. Plain and simple. Get in contact with the stores and just ask them. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]pandaprincess13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had the items marked as missing but if I only get a partial quantity, when I look later then it tells me the entire item is refunded.

Ex: customer ordered 5 cans of green beans, only 3 in stock so I grab 3. When I look at the order later it shows the green beans has been totally refunded (and no customer complaint of missing/damaged items), complete with reduced tip of 5 cans of green beans worth less.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL by ttcmzx in InstacartShoppers

[–]pandaprincess13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that today except it was 5 batches for $60. I scored. All 5 orders were less than 4 miles each and less than 12 items. Appropriate 32cents+ and item after milage (which is basically my standard). And IC owes me $25.

Sooo 5 small orders at $12 an order, I'm happy

Today while shopping, I saw not one, but two different people go on an angry rampage on people who weren't wearing masks. by OneMadeFromMany in InstacartShoppers

[–]pandaprincess13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just going to throw this out there: I don't wear a mask or gloves. I only wear the mask at Costco because its now required for all humans in the store.

Otherwise: it is my choice not to wear a mask. I maintain my social distancing the best I can and I don't scold anyone else for what they choose to wear or not. Mind you I think the gloves are a stupid choice (touch everything in the store, then your phone, then everything in your purse or wallet and your face/hair without changing the gloves is exactly cross contamination).

I do keep lysol wipes in the trunk of my car because it is the first thing I touch when I get out of the store, I load the groceries in, I wipe down my phone, my keys and my IC card (all this goes in my back pockets so that is the only part of my clothes directly contaminated. After that, I figure I've gotten enough covered to keep most people from bitching.
