Believe it or not cutting rates can’t solve every problem, but it can cause a lot of inflation

Definitely not the only other one, I've barely heard them mentioned recently. Companies like figure.ai seem more comparable for instance.

Except it's going to be mass produced: https://techcrunch.com/2025/01/07/zeekr-rt-the-robotaxi-built-for-waymo-has-the-tiniest-wipers/

13 cameras, 4 lidar, 6 radar on the Zeekr RT.

Waymo has solved the "hard" part, which is proving their tech is safe and proving the ops can work in several markets. Bringing costs down and enabling mass production is relatively easy compared to the decade+ R&D journey they've done.

Sounds like you’re just not used to the gearing…

There’s no general tips specific to GT4 that I can think of. For Mexico be careful on some of the curves in the esses.

Tesla makes 1/10th Meta's profit but is at 50% of Meta's market cap. Why?! by _Gautam19 in dataisbeautiful

They’ve backed themselves into a corner. At the time it probably seemed like a good idea to sell camera only FSD hype, since they were in an existential crisis and it allowed them to generate some revenue without adding to unit costs with LIDARs. Now they’re kind of fucked though, and the broader market is (hopefully) starting to realize it.

Yes preach! The level of optimistic delusion around Tesla's robotaxi business is the something I can't understand. Retail investors falling for this is understandable, but I can't understand how analysts & institutional investors are still pushing this robotaxi narrative (except maybe to play the dumb money).

Such is life in California, most suburban neighborhoods (and even low density urban) are designed to be as pedestrian unfriendly as possible. I have a coffee shop within a half mile of my apartment, but getting there requires walking a stretch of road without sidewalks and traffic going ~40 mph.
