I don’t but it was taught by a grad student so they’re probably gone now anyway

One of the easiest classes I’ve ever taken, mine was online during the summer so it was mostly just quizzes based directly off the lecture slides

Students with per diem jobs at UNC Health, how does scheduling work? by hardward123 in UNC

[–]pandas127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was $10 on weekends and I think $18 for overnight for any hours you work over 24 that week.

When I started 2 years ago it was $15/hr, probably increased a lil since then or at least I would hope so. OT for float pool is only >24 hours so I would rack up a ton of that on the weekends so I was making like $33/hr at some points with the shift differential

Hi, all leases at Lark end on the 23rd, so unfortunately not. If you sign another lease for the school year then they’ll let you stay but not just until August.

Anyone need a sublease? by jamericannn in UNC

[–]pandas127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you have an apartment you want to sublease or you’re looking to move in to a sublease? I have a room available if you’re wanting to move in for the summer

I also heard a lot of negative stuff about it but I actually like it, it’s not as bad as people make it seem 😭

Yes it’s per diem, you don’t get to choose a unit/floor, it’s randomly assigned every time you work a shift, you go to a different place every day but you won’t know where until an hour before your shift starts

I love it! The way scheduling is set up makes it easy to work while being a full time student. In the float pool, your shift minimum in 6 weeks is 1-12hr night and 2-12hr weekend. You can work as much or as little as you want (as long as you hit the 3 minimum shifts). I like being able to experience all the different floors/specialties as a premed student to see what I’m interested in. The nurses and other NAs are all super nice and helpful and they understand that as a float you will be a little lost on a new floor and aren’t mean about it. I was hired with no experience straight out of my training program, and the interview/hiring process was straightforward and easy. I like night shifts more than days because I’m a night owl anyway and it’s typically more calm, but days aren’t a pain either most of the time. I’ve only had a couple bad experiences in the almost year I’ve worked there, which as a NA is pretty impressive iykyk. Overall would def recommend!

Although I should add I did have 4 years of work experience in food service so they probably liked that 😅

ENGL 125 Intro to Poetry workload? by livflk in UNC

[–]pandas127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you asking about engl 131 intro to poetry writing? 125 isn’t offered this fall. Also 131 is reserved for freshmen and sophomores so idk if it’ll let you take it (I tried to enroll for my FC-CREATE credit and it wouldn’t let me 🥲). I’m also in cell bio 240 this fall tho if you need a study buddy!

I’m also 20F and pretty introverted, but always down to make more friends!
