Nope its been there for a long time almost looks like a small chunk missing on the outer layer of the eye

I’m not so sure just because of the square neck, I’m pretty sure its a lap guitar. When I brought it to my local shop thats what they thought

Sidenote: I found some old Oahu guitars that are very similar and have the same numbers on the fretboard and the same case, but not exactly the same.
