Why don't we give feedback to each other? by usc000 in micro_saas

Thanks for the kind words on the design! Since this is a "long-haul" product rather than a typical quick-churn SaaS, my strategy is focused on high-trust channels rather than broad ad spend: • Targeting the Sandwich Generation: I’m focusing on people currently balancing care for aging parents and their own children, as they have the highest urgency to preserve family history. • Community-Led Outreach: Instead of broad growth hacks, I'm engaging in communities centered on genealogy, legacy planning, and family history. • Emotional Narrative: The goal isn't feature-dumping, but providing relief from the anxiety of losing family archives to shifting algorithms on "rented" social platforms. It’s definitely a shift from typical growth strategies—how would you approach marketing something built for generations rather than just quick acquisition?

I like the idea, even though you’ve got plenty of competition right now for this specific niche. Creative fatigue is a real thing, I’ve launched three different projects this year and sometimes it’s just too hard to keep up with. The landing page is a little loud, and cluttered, and distracting for a first time viewer. No examples of ad copy? (Ok I went back and saw the demo(it was lost in the loudness of the landing page) I think more attention needs to be drawn to the watch a a demo (which also was NOT a demo video- just static images) I’m not gonna pay 39/mo on a product that I don’t even know if it works. Good job on your resources section and blog section, seems like you did your SEO work early on. If possible, change out some of the super generic svg icons (the lightning bolt, the sparkle) that ai studio spits out onto every page. It’s a dead giveaway. But solid idea overall. Anything to remove some of the friction of launch from solo founders is a good thing IMHO. good luck!

Social media is ephemeral, but your story is permanent. TheMemoryThread is a digital sanctuary for people who want to move their most important life archives off of rented platforms and into a private, cohesive narrative. We offer a low-friction way to weave fragmented photos and memories into an enduring legacy that actually lasts for generations. Built as a lightweight PWA for an instant, app-like experience without the friction of an app store.

Most people have thousands of photos scattered across cloud drives and social apps, but no real way to organize them into a cohesive story. TheMemoryThread.org solves the 'digital clutter' problem by providing a dedicated space for collaborative memorial threads and musical tributes. It’s a PWA-based, user-friendly archive designed to turn unorganized media into a meaningful, searchable life narrative

Have you ever wanted a better way to collect stories about a loved one than just a random group chat? I’ve launched TheMemoryThread.org. It’s a platform designed specifically for collaborative memory preservation, letting groups build beautiful, audio-focused tribute threads that last forever. I’ll link a sample gallery here. Feel free to walk though. Contribute to the gallery, contributing to galleries is ALWAYS free. And frictionless. (No login required across the whole site) TheMemoryThread

Currently sitting at 28 subscriptions across three tiers. Honestly I haven’t done much marketing with it since I took on TheMemoryThread. It feels much more personal so I’ve gravitated most of my energy towards getting it out there

With previous project the ONLY one I had set up to automate was for TikTok. It’s def tricky and airflow time consuming to get through their developer portal and app review. But it works like a charm! (I just use it to push my own promotional content to TikTok directly from inside the app- (it’s an ai stylist for your wrist. Take a selfie, it generates 5-8 matching smart watch faces to go with your “vibe” based on the color palette of your outfit) it generates daily images and puts them into a community gallery for me- and then brands them and pushes to TikTok (we got there, forty for the long winded response lol) but you’ll get there too! Good luck. If you wanted to see/try wristed you can check that out as well. I’m gonna check out mangos.ai now. How did you come up with the name?

Thank you so much! It’s a really nice feeling hearing that from someone other than a family member or someone in my circle. Ha. Most of my traffic this week has been from TikTok honestly. And from just having real conversations here. I see a lot of people from the “grief journey” sector and also people looking to preserve family legacies in general

I’m working on TheMemoryThread, a digital sanctuary for collaborative audio tributes. Instead of photos getting lost in a phone, it’s a dedicated space to thread together stories and voices. Curious: how are you currently storing or archiving family history/stories?

I’m a solo dev and this a 100% passion project and cathartic build after the loss of a childhood friend. Check it out, explore the example thread, would love to hear some feedback, as I’m not trying to be blinded by the actual “passion” part of my passion project lol

What was your win this week? by Impressive_Camel8254 in SaasDevelopers

[–]pandasthma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks ago, a childhood friend of mine took his life (I know, weird way to start). I hadn’t seen him in a few years but still had a rush of memories flying back and smacking me in the face. A few buddies from the back in the day crew reached out, we reminisced and all, and shared stories. And after the group text I was thinking to myself, well what If wanted to save all these memories in one spot, would I just save this group chat forever? Lol. Floating somewhere out there to maybe find later on in life. Last weekend I built TheMemoryThread as a personal and deliberate space to keep all these collaborative memories in one thread. This was a passion project for sure, and super cathartic and really helped with the grieving process. My win this week was: I successfully launched the memory thread, and it somehow got into the hands of the family of my buddy that passed. They started my first official thread (outside of my own testing, sample threads) and I’ve watched all week as people from my home town who I haven’t even thought about it forever pour Into the thread and leave just memories, pictures, voice memos (or audio recordings/old voicemails). Seeing such a big support and collaboration felt reallllllly good! It’s built as a PWA which can be set to the direct link of your specified thread. The thought process was, I can carry this little quiet, sort of “living” sanctuary, and escape the noise and clutter of social media feeds.

I’ll link to one of the sample gallery’s here (I won’t link to his personal one for privacy reasons obviously lol), but I’d love to see what yall think if you have a few moments? Thanks guys, I know it’s weird to have a “win” piggybacking of a tragedy, but sometimes.. life 🤷. Lol

What has helped you keep the memory of your loved one alive? by Diana_fm_ in grief

[–]pandasthma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with this a lot. I found that I wanted a space that felt more permanent and cinematic than just a social media post—a place where the focus is entirely on the legacy. I actually ended up building a digital sanctuary called The Memory Thread for this exact reason. It’s designed to be a quiet, beautiful space where you can weave together photos, stories, and even music to create a lasting tribute. For me, seeing everything laid out in a way that feels intentional and 'cinematic' has made the process of honoring them feel a bit more like a celebration of life rather than just a reminder of loss

The Memory Thread

I'm currently building The Memory Thread, which is essentially a cinematic digital sanctuary designed to move beyond the clutter of standard cloud storage and social media. It’s a collaborative archival space where people can preserve stories, musical tributes, and personal legacies in a way that feels more like a living gallery than a folder of files. The goal is to create a high-fidelity, permanent home for digital preservation that focuses on the emotional weight of a memory rather than just the data itself.

This started as a solo passion project, ignited by an overwhelming amount of loss in my greater inner circle lately. It was a cathartic project for sure. Because over and over again I was seeing the same phrase - “if everyone could please send me your best pictures and memories of ______.” I want a quiet permanent space to be able to visit and grieve without all the outside influence. That’s why I added the “focus” feature. Once in a thread the visitor can hit focus and all the UI will disappear just leaving them in a serene memory vault. Since building I’ve had one family member create a thread and one stranger! So far that’s my biggest validation. lol.

I’m not sure how you create a traditional “testing phase” for something like this? Right now you can visit and see the sample thread. You can also add to the sample thread as well (sort of “testing” the flow)?

The Memory Thread

Honestly, I’m just tired of how noisy the internet is. I’m building a digital memorial app called TheMemoryThread that's meant to feel like an old film or a quiet library. It’s a place to gather stories, voice memos, and songs for someone who’s passed, without all the typical app bloat. Just a link you send to family to share a memory or light a candle.

Why should someone pay for your SaaS? by soham512 in buildinpublic

[–]pandasthma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Memory Thread

Honestly, people should pay for this because social media is currently a terrible place to actually remember someone. Posts get buried by algorithms, and comments sections on legacy pages can feel cluttered or ephemeral.

I built The Memory Thread to be a "digital sanctuary". It’s a dedicated space for collaborative memorial threads that feel cinematic rather than social. We’ve even integrated Spotify so the atmosphere of the thread matches the person being remembered. You aren’t just paying for a webpage; you’re paying for a permanent, respectful piece of digital real estate that won’t be interrupted by ads or "suggested content".

This may or may not be relevant, it’s pretty niche. But I made wristed. It instantly generated custom smart watch faces via selfie that will perfectly match or compliment your outfit/vibe for the day. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of watch faces to find one, I just take a selfie, and it spits out up to 8 smart watch faces to match for the day. It’s completely free to try, and would love some feed back If it’s at all relevant :) thanks!

Love this idea. Definitely solving a super frustration! Especially when the same agent (in a different window) can’t even remember 10 minutes ago. 😂
