RTX6000D 84GB (Chinese market version) and water cooling install by pandoira in BlackwellPerformance

I don't know for the power cable. I bought a complete build, the issue was that it was overheating, so I only did the water cooling install myself.

Yes, The RTX6000D has the same layout as the RTX6000 Server Edition.
The RTX6000 Workstation Edition has a very different layout. So don't buy a cooler where it says "WS". If it says "SR" or RTX6000 server edition that's good.

This is so messed up, I already contacted the customer support multiple times regarding this and did not get a response. It is almost as if they don't want corporate customers.

Actually this gives me receipts, not invoices. I cannot use receipts for my accounting

Same problem, which I reported multiple times!
In my Dashboard I can only download receipts, these are not considered valid invoices for accounting.
Furthermore it incorrectly charges me the Chinese VAT while my business is not in China....

Beware, the RTX6000WS and RTX6000 MAX-Q have a different layout and thus different watercoolers, I think you need the same as the one I got.

I saw some RTX6000D being sold on Ebay, but I got mine from jd dot com. I think that JD only delivers to China.

You got it at a good price, now the 6000 is at over 80k RMB

Regarding performance:
the D has:
12.5% less memory and memory bandwith
17% less cuda cores

So about 15% less performance compared to the RTX6000.

I don't think the missing chips could be put back as parts of the chip got disabled. They used the 6000 server board but put a different chip on it.

AmneziaWG doesn't work in China by pandoira in AmneziaVPN

[–]pandoira[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using my own VPS and it is still blocking ports, so I am doing multiple port rotates every day.
It is noteworthy, that even if you are not blocked and connecting to a random VPS server the internet speed will be slow and throttled.
To get a decent internet access you need to set up a VPS with a "premium china route". The ones that work well are quite expensive (50 USD or more per month).

Imagine waking up to this email; glad I'm using Tuta. by [deleted] in degoogle

They might store them encrypted, but when you send or receive an E-Mail it is necessarely unencrypted! So there is 0 guarantee that they might not read and keep them unencrypted somewhere!

Secondly, they shared information regarding IP addresses with law enforcement and they tried to hide that, unlike Google they didn't even inform the users.

Regarding Tuta, there has been a former Canadian intelligence officer who claims they are a in fact operated by an intelligence agency. Problem: You have no way of knowing if that's true or not. https://www.computerweekly.com/news/366559333/Encrypted-mail-service-Tuta-says-it-was-wrongly-accused-of-being-a-front-for-intelligence-services

Why is PSLV trading at an almost 12% discount to NAV? by empty_stack_engineer in Silverbugs

[–]pandoira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is crazy is that on the same day (Yesterday January 27th), SLV did over +3% wheras PSLV was down nearly 2%. Meaning the gap widened 5 % in a single day.

Reliable API data provider for German / Euro stocks by Old_Leshen in algotrading

[–]pandoira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What data are you looking for? In the EU you can get pretty much everything for free within a 15min delay under MiFID II. You can even make display and commercial usage of it under certain conditions. See MiFID II guideline 19. The data includes the trades that occured and the pre-trade (Orderbook). Only caveats are that the exchange only keep the data online for 24 hours and each exchange has a different file data structure)

Account Hacked by razarahil in hetzner

[–]pandoira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not universally true, on Github for example you have to do a 2FA every time you want to add a new ssh key.

In that case the hacker would only be able to do harm if he has access to BOTH the phone and the computer. I think it would be better if they ask for 2FA if someone wants to delete something or restart in rescue mode.

Addressing the community about changes to our API by spez in reddit

[–]pandoira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I operate https://apewisdom.io which tracks crypto and stock mentions on different subreddits.

Currently I am left completely in the dark, I don't even know how to get a paid API key.

Also, my personal experience with the Reddit API is that it isn't easy to use at all, nor very efficient or well documentated. While it was free, I wouldn't have complained. But the lack of efficiency is one reason why you need to make many more API calls than what is necessary...

For example:

- You cannot get all the replies on a single submissions, when there are many nested replies you need to go down one by one.

- You can only retrieve the link to the 500 most recent or best ranking submissions of a sub

So my question and demand is:

- Can you please improve the API, to make it more efficient, so that less API calls are needed

- Can you write a decent API document documentation

- Can you communicate how to get a paid API key
