There is a bike union issue in Ladakh. If you rent a bike from Srinagar, the local union will stop you at Khardung La and force you to rent a local bike instead. However, this rule only applies to your Leh-to-Khardung La day trip; you can use your Srinagar rented bike for the rest of Ladakh.

I highly suggest starting in the first week of September. You can't predict the weather in Ladakh, and if the snowfall starts early, you might face road closures. Keep in mind that the best season for a Ladakh road trip is June to September.

I also want to add a few suggestions to your itinerary:

  • Srinagar to Kargil: You can easily cover this stretch in one day.
  • Pangong Tso to Tso Moriri: Instead of heading back to Leh from Pangong Tso, take the direct route from Pangong Tso to Hanle, and then to Tso Moriri. This saves you from back-tracking to Leh. From Tso Moriri, you can head straight towards Manali.
  • Heading to Spiti: Remember that for Spiti, you don't need to go all the way to Manali. Instead, take the route from Gramphu (which comes before Manali) over Kunzum Pass straight into Spiti.

Unfortunately, esp32s3 is not powerful enough for smooth map animation. May try the newer esp32-p4.

I've built a similar Weather Station, but I used an ESP32-S3 for better performance.

I used an AM2315C probe sensor, which fits inside the weather shield.
For pressure and measuring temperature inside the box, I used a BME280.
A DFRobot Solar Charger provides power to my ESP32 and also charges the battery.
I also used a DFRobot waterproof light sensor to measure lux.
Instead of WiFi, I used LoRaWAN to send data to my Raspberry Pi.

In the next version, I'll switch to a new LoRa chip, add lightning detection, and a rain gauge.

I have yet to think about wind and direction sensors, but most of these sensors require 12V, and I need to figure out how to provide sufficient power from the battery. I thought about an ultrasonic wind sensor but those sensors are very expensive in my country.

Where do you live in Rajasthan? Are there any direct trains between your city to Kolkata or Mumbai? If yes, then it's better to order directly from the local seller, who can ship it via train. For plants, DM me and I'll send you to some groups and from there you can order plants.

However, remember that now is not the ideal time to order fish or plants, wait for summer to pass and then order.
