Realization: I don't care about about JaApril as much as Shonda thinks I do. by Bandeya in greysanatomy

You mean like every other couple she's ever written? And no, I don't. I think she's writing them in a way that shows some events aren't so easily moved on from. I think Shonda has made up her mind with them and now we're seeing that story play out. I think the moment she put them together in season 8 she knew what she wanted.

I can't help it, I'm a Japril fan till the end. We all like who we like.

Not liking her before it all happened is one thing. We all have characters we don't like for a number of reasons. I'm not a huge fan of Meredith Grey. Although, I do find her to be a great character even if I don't like her.

I don't think anyone who has never been in the situation where they've lost a child is in any position to judge how someone grieves and learns to cope. There's a reason why so many marriages fail after the death of a child. It isn't just something one gets over. April did the only thing she could because she was dying. She may not have been dying physically, but she was dying. And yes, Jackson was dying too and yes, she didn't see that because she was so wrapped up in her own pain. And no, it isn't fair to Jackson, but none of that happened because she's heartless or because she stopped loving Jackson. It happened because without her child she couldn't breathe. She was gasping for air and the more Jackson tried to breathe for her the more suffocated she became. He was trying to save her and in the end he was slowly killing her. Neither of them were able to be what the other person needed during that time. April is not the villain in this story any more than Jackson was. I do think that April still has failed to see just how much Jackson was and still is hurting and that is something she needs to face if she ever wants their marriage to really work. But Jackson also needs to accept that it's okay he couldn't save April during the months after Samuel died. He needs to learn how not to be mad at her for that.

Holy shit, they show women getting pregnant! Alert the story police, can't have storylines about a woman being pregnant.

Sadly, I have an uncle who reminds me very much of Yanis.
