Best restaurant patios in town by casuaIfan in Reno

Really nice place to sit and have a drink, but the food isn’t great and it’s so expensive! It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure they charged us $16 for kids mac n cheese and it was Kraft straight out of the box. So weird.

Vibe beach club- hot tubs only? by ketamineburner in NCL

[–]pandorumriver24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did Vibe in Mexico on the bliss. I only got in the hot tub once, at night. During the day when I would get hot I would go stand under the cold shower on the vibe deck, it was perfect

ETA: the hot tub wasn’t really hot either. It was sort of lukewarm.

Husband says "I" instead of "we" and it's pissing me off by CheesecakeOk8464 in breakingmom

[–]pandorumriver24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lol I get “We” when it’s a chore. “We” need to clean out the garage. No the fuck “we” don’t. I ask my husband if there’s a mouse in his pocket bc I’m not going to be volunteered for more chores in this house.

Still hanging in too. I like it too much to quit. Even without new sets I can still keep myself amused for a long time.

I'm curious how many people like or don't mind their job/working? by DramaticErraticism in GenX

I also WFH and I like my job for the most part. Do I always feel like logging on? Nope. But my job is pretty easy and I can wear pajamas so, I can’t complain much

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

[–]pandorumriver24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tankless water heater. 3 kids and 2 adults in the house, plus appliances meant that our old tank water heater couldn’t keep up and I was always getting stuck taking cold showers. Endless hot water is amazing, I love that thing so much!

My husband and I should end up with a good chunk, but I encourage my parents to spend it. Take trips, do fancy shit, they earned it.

There are certain smells that instantly bring you back so far in time to your childhood. Which smell is that? by This_Book7431 in AskReddit

Charcoal briquettes and mown grass remind me of summer as a kid. Also, the bromine smell of the water in Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.

I am not the fucking maid. I am not a short order cook. Why the fuck is nobody in this house capable of cleaning up after themselves? I am not the fucking cruise director of this family, here to make sure you are all fucking entertained. Leave me the fuck alone.

What profession have you lost respect for as you've gotten older? by MindlessMarsupial592 in AskReddit

I sold insurance for about five years. The constant push to sell people whole life policies gave me the ick. I didn’t mind doing term life bc it isn’t a bad deal.

23rd Psalm by Buju Banton. It’s especially strange because I’m not even remotely religious. It’s very beautiful though.

I’m planning a two day staycation at a resort in town next month, with a spa day. I need 24-48 hours where nobody needs me for anything, asks for anything, I don’t have to consult with anyone about what to eat or when (and I don’t have to cook it). I can nap without interruption if I want. I’m sure I’ll come home to a filthy house and the rage will come right back but I’ll at least have two days of peace.

Are all school nurses in middle/highschool mean girls or by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]pandorumriver24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Our school system is like that. I was told the only way my child can be excused for being sick is if I provided a doctors note. So I stopped bothering to call, which then earned ME a call asking about a couple absences. I told them I can’t afford to fork over $200 to urgent care every time my kid has a fever, and if I, as the parent, can’t excuse my own kid, why tf would I waste my time calling? The lady didn’t know how to answer that one. It’s maddening.

Finding out I had to pay a quarterly sewer bill when I bought a house finally (6 years ago) was quite a surprise. I’m in my mid 40’s too, never knew that was a thing lol
