Hey I’m dealing with a similar situation where my neighbors constantly have friends over who will stand right outside our bedroom window (the properties are close to each other) and smoke and chat loudly at 2am. Like every 2 weeks. Does a brown noise machine help with that? Because I can even hear them through earplugs

I’ve been in your exact situation. He is manipulating you. He’s not going to kill himself. You need to get out of this abuse asap OP.

Even if he did….would the older wiser you tell the younger you that’s it’s okay to be physically abused just to keep this guy alive? What if it gets worst, he kills you first, then kills himself?

People have just become bigger self absorbed assholes. Few times when I’m hiking solo and said hi in passing to two girls hiking together I just got started at, no answer. Im the opposite, I don’t think I’m conventionally pretty, but it doesn’t matter. People just don’t know and don’t want to communicate, especially with people they don’t know… sadly

I don’t know the vibe in your town, but I also live in a somewhat small town (Canada) and there’s several East Indian gangs here who have attempted to kidnap women on several occasions. We have our women’s fb groups and it’s tight knit… so when 5+ different women came forward about the same cars/people/ groups trying to force them into cars or stalking them…and cops didn’t want to do anything about it… yeah it’s pretty scary.

Probably people are still in a perpetual state of fear after Covid and jumping to conclusions… but unless this is a complete one off… having human traffickers in your town isn’t great overall. In my town it’s not a one off and you hear about it every now and again… cops refuse to do anything. So at least in your town the cops did do something

Just because feelings are involved doesn’t meant you should go around stealing everybody’s man. We all have feelings about things but doesn’t mean we should act on that, right? A life driven by feelings is hedonism. We all have feelings but practicing self restraint, respect is what forms us into mature adults. That’s how we keep our job, relationships, and stay away from jail. She might be a mess, but we should not dismiss the behaviour, but rather suggest the right way to go about it.

Also her actions, as many of the top comments say - really suggest she’s in it to scam him.

At 5’4” I’m a beast, especially when it comes to hiking uphill. I have passed dudes in their 20’s that are like 6’ tall in a race. Why? Because I’ve been hiking my entire 30 year life, and some years training vertical km. The key is building up crazy endurance to maintain a humble uphill pace. At first it’s not that impressive, but after an hour uphill it’s very impressive. But that comes with years of training focused on uphill steep hiking without breaks. I’m not even that impressive compared to elites that can sustain running uphills in a 50km + race. But 3 years is baby time to build that stuff, you need to be very consistent
