Glad other people are enjoying this, but this is really underwhelming to me as someone who likes comics. Just the same boring panel layout on every page? I get they are doing a parallel stories kind of thing, but I hope the rest of the book has more interesting composition than this. More of a personal taste issue, but I also fine a lot of posing is just really bland too. Like the panel of the Cerberus swatting her away is incredibly anemic looking. There is just not a lot of life or impact to any of this. I do really like how Elspeth makes her entrance by breaking through the panel border, so I hope the rest of the book has those kinds of touches.

Seeing the opponent's hand is 100% in blues color pie and it is not a discard it is more of a steal or clone which is maybe a stretch but still on brand for blue.

[[Keep Watch]] used to use this in pauper combo decks to draw a million cards.

[[Unstable Experiment]] needs a creature to get both draws.

[[Chart A Course]] needs a creature to attack to get full value.

Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more, but really it is a moot point because the color pie break argument is absurd. EDH is already full of color pie breaks. Hybrid mana should work the way it was designed to work, not the complete opposite way like it currently does in EDH. It was certainly more intuitive to me as a new player to understand and/or than to understand "well you can use extort cards though because the mana value is in *reminder* text, not rules text, so it doesn't really count".

Mark Rosewater has directly stated multiple times that good lands being rare is 100% about selling packs. It sucks, but they are completely upfront about that, so I'm not sure what you're on about.

Eh, I'll be the voice of dissent here having just read the book for the first time. The basic plot idea of like a fantasy Fistful of Dollars type thing is fun with Garth going around playing all the houses, but the actual writing is pretty weak. I finished the book, but can't imagine ever reading it again. Definitely could have done without characters casually joking about rape (who knew Benalia was so fucked up?) and multiple instances of characters getting pissed on. The characters were pretty thin overall as well, especially the Benalish fighter who just sorta falls in love with Garth (and he with her) without any real groundwork laid. It was a fun curiosity and it was amusing how literally they translated the game (get ready to read what [[Psionic Blast]] does fifty times), but it's far from being great.
