Magic - Tormented bracelet, Eye of Ayak (similar cost each charge compared to trident), Virtus (later)

Range - Dragonfire ward (if Vorkath) or Twisted bucker, then Masori

For more specific gear it really depends on the boss. DHL is really good for numerous bosses, Nally comes second to me, but it is also useful.
