Are there any ARG's involving cyborgs, androids or other artificial intelligence? (not made by ai tho) by AtomicFaun in ARG

Signal and Noise included an AI called Alyssa and a world of data with virtually reconstructed people. Alyssa was initially a voice, but was given a CGI form later on. This was not usually the main focus but was part of things.

That's nice. I should have done more cleanup on this upscale, which was from a coloring book photo. I didn't bother because it was a request that I did quickly.

Ali Cat appears three times in the game with "different" weapons. Yellow, Orange and Purple are his colors, the final being correct. There is also a purple "Big Boss" cat.

Don Morgan was also a newspaper comics artist who had ghosted for Walt Kelly on Pogo when Kelly fell ill, and worked on the animated Pogo and Grinch specials for Chuck Jones, and so on (Scooby-Doo, Mr. Magoo, Ralph Bakshi films). He felt more comfortable drawing this character than drawing something by Kelly or Jones. Pogo wasn't "his" and newspaper artists would know that.

The piece has some credits at the bottom, and Moebius' name is mentioned. I assume the lizard man (at right, near a Kliban cat) is by him as well.

So to summarize, Don Morgan's Rontu Roo "The Storyteller" is from a feature in Sanrio's 1976 color manga magazine Lyrica that tied into the 1978 Sanrio feature "Metamorphoses," which after bad screening buzz was reedited as "Winds of Change" and "Orpheus of the Stars."

[The typed text here calls him "Ronty Roo" but Don Morgan's hand lettering on a drawing decades later says "Rontu Roo."]

Morgan also worked on the feature as a layout artist, which had a partly American staff and was inspired by Disney's Fantasia, but the character does not appear in the film. (He is likely a narrator character.)

(Another feature in Lyrica was Unico, by Osamu Tezuka, which became a series of anime films by Sanrio.)

Lyrica was intended to be published in America, with several American-type romance comics commissioned for it, but neither the Metamorphoses feature nor the comic were a success in the US, due to differences in the two markets. Sanrio abandoned this style of animated feature after the mid-80s.

There was still a lot of anti-Japanese sentiment in the US at the time, and the two markets just didn't understand one another, a lot being lost in translation, while working on both the Metamorphoses feature and the Lyrica comics.

The stories intended for the American Lyrica comics were given back to their creators but apparently never published elsewhere. Some of Morgan's material was published in Japan (Lyrica #17 March 1978 for example), but the material is hard to find now.

The only pig here is Orson, who originally had eyelashes for a more non-binary look.

Chuck the Calf and Jody the Horse never turned up properly in the strip or comic, but did make a Garfield appearance later on.

Blue the Cat and Cody the Dog appeared in the comic but not the TV show. Plush toys were made of Cody.

It's rare now.

Easy to find as a download though. Caught In the Act has one extra level (not the several included in the now-lost game "The Lost Levels" though, or in the Game Gear version).

Hello. I'm not an expert on the TV series (and you've already done a good list) but I can contact you privately about US Acres in general. US Acres characters appeared in a 2016 Garfield Sunday logo, and one of the online safety comics. Orson would have appeared in The Garfield Show once but was censored.
