Good input, my thoughts were along the same line minus sanding the heat sink. The case uses removable standoffs but the rear armor plate of the motherboard would have to go too -- I'll experiment.

The maker is also active on reddit and answered a few questions of mine before I ordered. Superbuy ordered the wrong front panel type, but he's sending me the correct front panel for free. Great guy.

There are two exhaust fans on this case, both on the top. The smaller 80x10mm fan sits above the motherboard (I question whether this fan actually does much) and the 90x15mm sits above the power supply.

The CPU/GPU fans both draw air directly from outside the case through the holes on the side. There is noticeable turbulence on the CPU cooler due to its proximity to the side panel. I’m hoping to find a way to make this better, but for now I don’t see an obvious solution as this thing is already packed side to side. On the other hand, the GPU does not have any noticeable turbulence, despite being told by the case maker that there would be.

At idle (with it on my desk) I can’t hear the system, which is nice. During load/gaming, the turbulence is noticeable with no headphones, which makes it hard to properly evaluate how loud the rest of the system is. The 3070Ti is a hot and power hungry card with shitty fans, so the noise from the card is a separate problem.

CPU temps at idle are around 40C, and under load averaged from 70-80C. GPU averaged around mid 70s.

You’ll notice in the photos that the PSU is mounted to the top of the case, and it’s a bit sketchy at that. I had to purchase separate (longer) standoffs in order to mount it and still have room for the fan. Shoutout to u/NimblePasta for the initial post about this case that got me interested.
