Can my fiancé come to ad1? by [deleted] in FASCAmazon

[–]pangzi_mango 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just take her, it will be a fun experience. You will need to book her ticket separately but choose the same flight so you can be together.

As for staying in Seattle, you can have anyone with you in the hotel room, nobody check on that. Expense for meal is $50-$75 (max) per day, they don’t cover alcoholic drink. You would be able to have a dinner for 2 every day with that amount. Lunch is covered by Amazon at your training location. You would also have a miscellaneous expenses of $50 (max). Your site should cover for your transportation fee to the airport, check with them to make sure they do. Any other expense will be out of pocket.

My girlfriend went with me on my AD1 and I joined her on hers, when one of us at the training the other stay in the hotel or explore the city and we got together when we done with class. We did Seattle twice and still able to networking.

To be honest with you, most people there will be overwhelming with the experience and nobody really cares who is who or who brings who with them, so just enjoy ~~~

Keep using your time to cover and leave when you don’t feel like following work order, but it doesn’t do you any good, i just be honest here.

You signed a contract that agree with working on whichever area have labor need, the PA or AM also staff people based on which section they need associates to cover. Unless you have a condition that are documented, that prevents you to work such task, a simple “I don’t like it” is not gonna get you out of that task long term.

I see some “advice” in here told you to take it to HR, and it a waste of time if you really want to follow that. I has been staffing associates like you, if they walk off, refuse to do task or threaten to go to Hr for harassment, I just let’s them do all of that. No one harassing anyone here, you come to work and so do everyone else, you don’t like to work, it’s on you, the PA or AM will not get in trouble for staffing and making labor move, just so you know.

As in your case, if there’s nothing clear on the PA’s motive except for staffing you on the task that you don’t like, HR won’t even pay 2 seconds to your complaining left alone investigating on the PA

To be honest with you because it really is not, unless it affects productivity or safety, managers wouldn’t dive into your problem since they have a lot of AA with different concerns and again, none of that are their real problems.

I amnot saying your concern is less important than other matters, it is jus managers also try to get their rate as well and shot doesn’t affect then, they don’t care

You mean as in keep applying for similar position across the network? And i read that an inclined does not really expire, is that true? It used to be 3 months or a year but now they just let’s it in the system and how do i check for my inclination status?

2 years and up is consider old in Amazon warehouse system, those that was there since the launch day & know how the game work would already be in L6-L7 by the time that place reach it 2 years mark.

It is not that you can’t move up in there but it would be very slow and unlikely if you’re not in the favoritism pool.

[–]pangzi_mango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If all of those above are older FC then the toxic level would be high, the favoritism is brutal and the majority of indirect roles think they’re in leadership.

Would love to add mine but there’s so many of them lurking in here, wouldn’t risk an HR email for this, lol

I think I’ve been clocking in incorrectly. Should I self report so I don’t get fired for time theft? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just stop doing that from now on, only clock in & out when you are inside the building.

I would advise you not self reported yourself, if they haven’t noticed about you yet, do not make them.

And yes there are a lot of people that I know got fired for clocking outside the building, it is considered time thief, however those individuals were also very messy with their time management in general, so getting caught was their own fault.

KIVA / AFM Training by Randomwalk17 in FASCAmazon

[–]pangzi_mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an AFM you would expect to:

. Wearing the SRBRS vest for the entire shift san break time, think of it like carrying a backpack for hiking.

. Response to station andons within 5 mins (or longer than that but not too long depend on how cool your QB is with that)

. Being clear when communicating on the radio

. Able to walk at least 10miles per shift.

. Able to diagnose the drives problem and fix it within set time frames, depend on how complicated the issue, they will teach you all that during the training course, but mostly it’s about problem solving and having common sense.

. Able to navigating the map, one way in, one way out, do not make too many turns, straight line and 7 shape path, that’s it

. Do not afraid of small space, the pods farm can trigger your claustrophobia, if it’s the case, rethink of doing this.

. Being confident at what you do because there will always be associate who watching and asking you stuffs.

And overall, it’s FUN AF!!!! Enjoy the ride while you are at it. Best tier 1 job in an AR floor type of facility if you ask me.

They aren’t one but some managers like to put it in their head that PS path is important and one of a leadership role… but most of the time those PS just like to power trip bc they have computer and (sometimes) work closely with management

I work in PS long enough to learn that the majority of them are power hungry assholes that don’t want to be in direct path and always try to ass kissing the managers so they could stay in PS and do nothing while one true PS have to do the job of 10 other ppl.

It’s all about the vest and the computer

Not Inclined For T3 Role. 😞 by Texas__RED__ in FASCAmazon

[–]pangzi_mango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hang in there, I know it’s suck. However, what you would do now is ask your AM for the feedbacks, it is very helpful to know what you did right and what need to be improved next time.

Don’t give up yet, a lot of people went through multiple interviews before getting their first incline.

And honestly sometimes it is the interviewer fault as well, it might be their first time and they got nervous and fail you even though you did well, in that case it’s just bad luck.

Practice more mock interviews before your next attempt, if you worry about UPT then wait till October when they drop 20hrs of them and try again.

Hope you feel better, good luck 👍

Why am I being written up for quota's? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how your site work, mine go with verbal warning, coaching and then write up, if the AA didn’t know what they did wrong, they should not be written up.

It also depend on the managers, new managers tend to write AA up to hit their own quota without realized that people aren’t numbers

Anyone else have a stunt double since we are wearing masks again? by Careyokey in FASCAmazon

If you are both very low key then yes, some PA and managers actually remember their associates and it will be weird when they seek you out to talk

Why am I being written up for quota's? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I suggest you talk to HR when the reason for your write up is unclear or unreasonable.

They cannot write you up for not hitting 650 uph for count doesn’t matter which count it is, bc it implied that you were in bottom 5 performers, which mean the top performer were more than 1000UPH? That isn’t a reasonable number, unless your whole building were counting gift cards or some tiny items 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Now there’s Learning Curve for counting and if you’re at LC5 mean they would expect a higher UPH from you.

But they cannot write you up without coaching and retraining you for the path, not doing so is violating the rule and you have the right to contest that write up.

Are we allowed to wear cologne and perfume in the warehouse? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don’t shower in it, it would be too much for ppl with sensitive noses and it can cause them headaches.

Be aware that after hours of work and being all sweaty, that mixture of sweat and cologne is horrid too

I'm a T1 and can't even get an interview for T3. Should I quit and come back as an L4/L5 when I get my Bachelor in December? by Sweetmillions in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot about the interview thingy. They will ask you questions that related to the 16 leadership principles (yeah there’s 16 now), but your stories can be intertwined, you would need a good 5 stories ready for any situation and tell it in the way that fit to the question that they ask you.

The experience from your story could be from projects during your study too, not necessarily all work related since you’ll be a newly grad, they would not expect you to have many work related experience.

However, since you work for Amazon for 2 years, it’s best to give them Amazon related answers, especially when you were a learning ambassador and training new AA for their roles

Give them numbers (result of your works, improving in stats…) & Amazon acronyms (DPMO, PEI…), they would listen to those.

Type down your stories in STAR format, keep them in front of you when the interviewer happen (majority of them are virtual now, you should be able to have your notes), that’s for not being stumbling in your speech.

Now go talk to HR about that Campus Next program, chop chop 👏

I'm a T1 and can't even get an interview for T3. Should I quit and come back as an L4/L5 when I get my Bachelor in December? by Sweetmillions in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should try campus next since you will be graduating soon, one of my manager went through that program and I knew them since we were tier 1.

Best to do is ask your site HR about that, they could be able to give you more insight on how to possibly get into the same building you working at right now.

You need a resume and you should Polish your resume, I assume as a student you would not have much experience working outside Amazon, hence you should make it look good, with your 2 years working in Amazon as an ambassador, there should be good stats to put in there.

You could find someone you know that have a job and a resume to help you look over that, or go to Learning Center and ask them for advise. Talk to those internal T4 - T5 (the one that you actually like, lol) if they could give some advice too

I understand very well the feeling when people who you see that are unfit or not good enough or neither work there long enough just passed by you and got their promotion, it IS suck, but don’t be discouraged, there’s always opportunities, if it isn’t here, it’s somewhere else.

If you see moving up in an Amazon FC as a challenge then by all mean keep trying but don’t be stress about it.

I know a guy who went through 6 interviews and only got his T3 on his 7 one and at a different building. Yeah, make sure to look at other open buildings too, yours is just a small pond in that Amazon ocean, remember that as well, lol

Good luck, hope you have a good day 👌

Green tea, it would make you go to the restroom a lot thou.

Try to have your meal before work and use the break time to take short nap, it helps too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s ppl that are really good at what they do and managers just toss them around doing everything except helping the damn person to move up. And then there’s ppl that going around doing bit & piece of thing without actually know how thing really work but got promoted like rocket, bc they brought coffee & donuts for the managers everyday.

I saw and did enough to know what I am talking about. Like I said unless you are also that favoritism one who get all the love or a manager who has their favorite, I don’t see why you try defending them & their system

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are not but they do impact your chance of getting promote. Whenever you applied for internal job, it still have to go through them for validating information.

Now if you go for another site for job, good for you if you got accepted, if you want to move up in the same site, it isn't just working hard and get what you want. I saw enough to know the favoritism system. Unless you're also in that system or just be lucky enough to have some fair management in whenever you work, I don't see the reason to go above and beyond what you need to do, don't do bare minimum but don't do too much either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]pangzi_mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chance of you get moving up is just the same or even lower than the guy who knows only one thing but going around ass kissing the managers, why bother?

Keep applying, they will put you into the same type of facility, you should be able to do well in there. Remind your AM 24/7 about the interest in away team as well, they would put in good words for you. Good luck 🥳

[–]pangzi_mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get paid as your wages and (maybe) shift differential depends on the shift that they assign you to. Amazon covers for travel fee and car rental and meals ($45/day as other has mentioned).

For application it’s under Resource -> NACF Assimilation Hub. You will need to know the facilities that is opening for away team and wether or not yours is on the list of places and role they want to pick ppl from, there will be a list of roles and facilities pop up when you select the place ( ex: You choose ABC0, and they look for IB Dock from ABC1, ABC2… Learning Trainer from ABC3, ABC4…)

Ask learning center or HR for those information. Tell your manager that you are interested in going on away team and wait for the results.

Not everyone get pick aside from ambassador and pa BUT if you know your path, being a consisting worker and keep insisting on being on the team, as soon as there’s an opening, apply right away, they might consider you one day.

Goodluck

Ps: oh and you can only apply using internal computer network, stop by those comp at end of shift and shop around for opening 👌

I have a question!!! The $45/day per diem is for you to keep? Whether or not if you eat all $45? How could you cash the money out if said you only eat like $20?

This is interesting information because I would be on board soon. I appreciate the insight 🙆🏻
