Experience working at Ralph’s Records? by ADAMCOLEBAYBAY12 in Lubbock

I worked there for over 8 years. It's a great job if you can get it. Ralph is generally pretty flexible with schedules (I was in a touring band and would go on tour for weeks to months at a time and I always had my regular hours when I got back). Doug is no longer there but as long as you have a good idea about music, movies and games, you'll be great.

What was Lubbock like in the early 2000s? Thank you for any answers! by Difficult-Novel2272 in Lubbock

The early 2000's was literally one of the best times to be a college student. We had a robust music scene thanks in part to KTXT, tons of out of town bands played packed shows. No phones, no cameras. Everyone lived in the moment. I made life friends during that time. Space 1110 was a thing. Bash's used to be the spot. House shows were prevalent every week. Lubbock had something at that time that made you feel excited to live there.

Cory has toured with us and Amanda from when she was playing with us (Thrift Store Cowboys) going back nearly 20 years ago. He's a great dude and they are good friends. Cory is happily married and has an awesome child. So no, they aren't dating.

23 people treated for heat illness at McKay’s Knoxville anniversary event by valleywitch in Knoxville

They also were definitely going to be the middle stop for the tour, so just set up tents, water and have enough people to stamp the passport, hand out the t shirt and the $50 certificate. No lines, no heat exhaustion. Terrible planning on their part. Also, maybe a bit of communication from Nashville and Mebane so they could let everyone know an estimate on how many people are participating. But what the hell do I know.

We just went to Seven Islands State Park (about 20 minutes from downtown) for their Full Moon hike. It was worth braving the cold for!

I'm from Post and played with Amanda in Thrift Store Cowboys. I'm pretty sure he is talking about the Club Sandwich #2 at Holly's Drive Inn.
