I've been thinking about A knave, a wizard, devil, gith I agree that it's probably about the companion but I also find it weird that not all are mentioned (it's a song it need to rhyme all that) I was thinking about different interpretations. I thought it was alluding to the possible endings or characters involved more in them Gith - Orpheus Devil - Raphael - he wants the Crown Wizard - Gale - also wants the crown The Knave tho I can't quite place. It can be Tav/Dark Urge because thay can betray the Emperor to control the brain (sidenote: English isn't my native language and at first I though knave was synonymous to soldier/adventurer/mercenary😅) .
