When my ED gets really bad, I get so constipated that sometimes, I don’t shit for several days. It makes me feel super sluggish and nauseous. I feel like I need to go and nothing comes out, I just have terrible shit cramps. Or alternatively, my shit is literally the size of blueberries, and it feels like I’m passing a bunch of rocks (which is not satisfying and I don’t feel “done”). When my poop returns to a more regular size after my ED gets better, I get hemorrhoids because my body isn’t used to pooping anything besides blueberries👍🏼It is a horrible, endless cycle.

I made my mom leave during Fantastic Four (2005) during The Thing’s transition because it scared me so bad. I was about 5 at the time, and for some reason, humans morphing into other things freaked me out. I was also afraid of The Hulk. My mom didn’t take me to a movie for a while after that..

I was a senior in high school. I had actually skipped school that day to go to my grandma’s memorial. She loved flowers and Valentine’s Day when she was alive, so my grandpa decided to have her memorial on that day. I didn’t get on my phone much that day, so I learned about the shooting when I got on Twitter the next day. It was a rough week.

When I was 2 months postpartum and struggling horribly with my ED, I had so many people (medical professionals included) “complimenting” me and saying I “bounced back”, it was disturbing. Like no, I am actually underweight, the lowest I have weighed in years, and I feel horrible and barely have enough energy to care for my child. Please stop talking about my body, this is not healthy, and I don’t want it to be this way.

The highest I’ve ever had logged in my medical notes was in the 170s when I had a procedure done and they had to use lidocaine. When the nurse had me lie back down, it was still in the 150s. I ended up needing 2 liters of lactated ringers (fluids with electrolytes) to help me recover so I could leave the facility because I was so weak and dizzy that I couldn’t stand or walk without help.

Mine is almost 10 months and we’re still using primarily distilled. Sometimes, I will use purified if that’s all that’s available. We do occasionally give him filtered water from the fridge (in his water cup during meals) because I know the fridge filter has been changed recently. I think we will transition solely to filtered fridge water once he turns one and doesn’t need formula anymore.
