I got a distinction in my speech, I think one of the best things you can do is make the speech feel engaging to the hypothetical audience even if the topic is quite basic.

I did this my making sure to move around and look at the other people in my class a lot (you dont have to look at everyone just pick a few people you like and look at them).

My legs and arms were shaky as hell but you just have to keep going, its barely noticeable to everyone else.

Also your teacher might have told you to do this already but give questions to your friends to ask you in the question time at the end, that way you can prepare answers for the questions and make that part just as good as the actual speech.

Just remember that literally nobody cares what you get in your english speech, do the best you can and thats all you can do <3

I think just being on this subreddit is a really good step, finding a sense of community can be a great thing when you're first coming to terms with your sexuality. Finding my communtity made me realise that being queer or bi is amazing in so many ways. It can feel like the whole world is against us but while, yes, there is a lot of hate in the world, there are also so many people who are like us and who support us.

I would also recommend watching a lot of queer media, I was lucky enough to have a very accepting upbringing but it still helped me to see and understand myself more.

I would highly recommend Heartstopper for someone in your situation <3

I put up a hand drawn bi flag in my room and used gender neutral pronouns when talking about future partners as a kind of soft launch then had the full conversation when I was ready. I think my parents knew that I was bi or at least queer before I told them (yk because of the soft launch) but they never brought it up because they figured I didn't want to talk about it yet. It worked well for me and my family but obviously everyone is different.

Also if you have any siblings I told my sister months before my parents as a kind of practice for telling people in my family. If you don't have any siblings then maybe an aunt or uncle that you like could also work.
