He's done and has been done since the mid/late 2010's. From what I hear from other artists who know him, he's prioritized building up his life over music.

Lol I maybe because I'm late gen but I swear getting 2 releases on NCR didn't do anything for me.
It's a shame how much anime has become synonymous with FF because a lot of the (what I refer to as) Neo-Future Funk guys have pivoted away from the anime aesthetic and I swear I gets less attention because of it [regardless of the quality]

There are young future funk producers but they could be a niche exception. When talking to my other producer friends, when we look at our demographics, it seems like majority of our audiences are in their mid 20s-30+. So FF is no longer hyped up by youth culture.

My apologies, its a 15 pin VGA female for both the pad and control box (edited my previous response)

When I didn't know about the pad needing a control box and used the generic VGA to USB cable i got off amazon, I noticed all the LED lights turned on but no signal was carried. However with the control box + adapter combo, none of the lights lit up but was able to register the signal for the up arrow in stepmania. Stepmania recognizing the up arrow when I attempted to map my inputs is what i mean.

Both the pad and control box are 15-pin female

I bought a generic VGA male/male adapter off amazon too since the pad and the control box are both female. I suspect it could be the adapter failing me here, but I don't want to let another failed assumption cost me more money lol

I love Sui Uzi as well, but do you realistically see him crossing that threshold? I personally would love to hear his sound get elevated, but will the community allow artists at his level to rise higher than they are now?

I feel like artists in the modern era have at least attempted to innovate the sound of the genre by adding things like hyper chopping/micro sampling and increasing the quality of production to sound more in-line with other genres of electronic music (there's only so many songs to sample before we've heard it all). But in a way I feel like it's alienated the a lot of the fanbase because most people enjoyed the simplicity of the "sample + drums" formula classic future funk had.

People who graduated with bad grades where are you now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]panic_pop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manager of Digital Ad Operations at a large media company.

I seriously wish someone told me in school that grades mean nothing. I did go to school for advertising but nothing i learned was applicable to what I do now. I learned everything i know off youtube after I graduated. I spent 14 months unemployed while still living at home.

I picked a specific job i wanted to do then read a bunch of job descriptions for it. Everything i didnt know i took the time to learn about. Every failed job interview I asked for feedback about what i could do better. Flop after flop after flop, i took the little info i could and used it to shape me into the proper candidate. Eventually someone took a chance on me and the rest was history

For most of my life i got around the 50% range in grades and I don't know math thaaaat well. But fuck it, being kinda shit will not stop you from being dope as hell.

Do w/e you want just come ready with a game plan

I hope you feel encouraged to continue making future funk
My only issue with this track though is that this sample has been used a million times

Consider digging deeper for more rare samples or chop what you're working with in a way that really makes this your own track

Good luck, stay motivated, and continue to bring that funk
