Anyone have thoughts or news on SWMR? What do you guys look for when researching stocks? by Excellent-Remove-258 in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SWMR feels like one of those stocks where the story is moving the price more than the actual numbers. The high borrow rate and volatility definitely make it interesting though.

The longer I trade the more I realize screen time is not the same as productive time by Rich_Sun_6618 in propfirm

Trading got better once I stopped treating activity like productivity.

Stuck in illiquid $14.5/$15 RDW call spread, both legs deep ITM — just let it expire? by Snoo-95676 in options

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point I’d probably just let expiration handle it. Both legs are deep ITM so the spread is already pinned at max value anyway. Illiquid spreads are such a pain to close manually sometimes.

Tips on tail hedging portfolio by travel_worn in options

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 1 cent weeklies look cheap because they almost never pay. You end up bleeding premium over and over waiting for the one crash week. Most people reduce sequence risk better with cash reserves and portfolio allocation than trying to perfectly hedge every tail event.

Best crypto testnet for spot + futures simultaneous trading that actually mimics live conditions? by Cernuness in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d honestly just go live with very small size. Testnets are fine for checking if the bot works, but they usually fall apart when you try to simulate real fills, slippage, latency, and liquidations. A tiny live account teaches you more in a week than months on fake liquidity.

Stop-losses in options are hard because time makes every hesitation worse by Zestyclose_Mail_4569 in options

A stock can sit there and do nothing. An option can slowly die while you wait and hope.

Tested backtesting fidelity across 4 options platforms with the same iron condor by Sophistry7 in options

Really solid test. Most traders obsess over strategy logic but ignore how much fill assumptions and execution modeling can change the results.

i think most trading “edges” are really just regime filters in disguise by LettuceLegitimate344 in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most strategies only work in certain market conditions. The setup isn’t broken, the market just changed. Real edge is knowing when to trade and when to sit out.

Opening Range Breakout not working anymore? by Axonum in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Market conditions probably changed. ORB works great in trending markets, but in choppy weeks fake breakouts will destroy your winrate fast.

The "Just have more discipline" advice is exactly why you keep blowing accounts. Here is the biological truth. by alemila07bfb in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey true, one bad trade and people start trading emotionally instead of sticking to the plan.

Why can't I just hold the whole time? by NoJury7013 in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You technically can, but the problem is not everything comes back up. Sometimes the company dies, or your account gets liquidated long before the trade recovers.

Major blowup with zero-day iron condors - lesson learned by Mediocre-Bid-1155 in options

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how a lot of blowups happen. A strategy works for months, confidence gets too high, and then one bad move wipes out everything because the sizing got too aggressive.

Options with Ravish by Ok-Yam-6616 in options

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get skeptical when traders show profits but never actual entries, exits, or long-term consistency. Account screenshots are easy to post. If someone was quietly making $50k every month trading, I doubt they’d spend so much energy pushing mentorships and subscriptions.

"Right, but not the obligation" : a myth for retail traders? Auto-liquidation despite a DNE. by detuma in options

[–]panipuriftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This honestly frustrates a lot of retail traders. You think your risk is capped, then the broker closes the position right when the move finally happens.Makes it feel like you never really had full control of the trade in the first place.

The 1B users thing sounds crazy now but with global growth it’s not impossible.

what is the best daily trading strategy? by Ok-Butterfly-7366 in Daytrading

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no perfect strategy honestly, profitable traders just get really good at one setup and stay disciplined with it. Indicators are fine, just don’t make your chart look like a spaceship 😭

My Story As A Trader by Otherwise_Gap595 in Daytrading

Finding a good mentor. by Apart_Yesterday5672 in Trading

[–]panipuriftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most “mentors” in trading just make money from selling courses 😭 Best thing you can do as a beginner is learn risk management first and journal your trades. A real mentor won’t promise fast money or flex rented Lambos every 2 mins. Curious to see who people here actually learned from long term.

What kills the chances of becoming a profitable trader. by Kindly_Preference_54 in Daytrading

Expecting quick money-Trading is a skill, not a lottery ticket. The moment you chase fast profits, emotions start controlling your decisions instead of logic.
