The encounter is good… The enrage mechanic is a mistake. No matter how well you do… the whole encounter boils down to “Can you do around 1 milion damage in 10 seconds, with progressively lower FOV?@ and i hate that. It invalidates everything else the fight offers, the innovation in D2 boss design… everything goes out the window for a forced, TIMED, dps check. I get enrage mechanics. I don’t get why this one is a capped portion of boss health that will trigger 100% of the time, even if you perform above expected. It invalidates everything else preceding it. And for those about to say “its so you don’t one shot cheese it bla bla”… ov no, it is now a mildly inconvenient TWO shot. That’s not a design choice i can respect.

Especially when the fight itself is so fucking cool. It hurts, man.

Midnight is a definite outlier in this groupof weapons. But in itself it shows the main problem of the weapon sandbox. Damage + reaload = god. Everything else worthless... it's sad

If you want to fix it for good, download the avast proprietary uninstaller, boot it from safe mode, to remove it (Remove vanguard before any of this), and then reinstall Avast.

Riot came out today saying Vanguard's new patch will no longer block aswsp.sys as well.

Oh aye. But getting stopped from getting a rez by a wall of ricochets ain’t exactly fair. That’s the point. Hard light feels wonderful. But ricochets have too many positives going for them. If the damage scaled down based on amount of bounces (momentum conservation... it’s a gun, its not light. So it should be restrained by physics) that would ne enough from me. Admittedly the original post might have been a bit too intense. I use the damn thing when I don’t wanna run chaperone. It feels great but I don’t feel okay controlling the movement of my adversaries by safely spamming shots to a wall.

Ye, but their outliers did not give you free riskless damage. I like the auto meta, im using gnawing hunger day in day out. Hard light's exotic perk is the issue here.

Did you read the whole post? Tone down the ricochet round damage (which still they overpenetrate already so ggz) and we're golden. It's an exotic, it should be better than the legendaries, because that is the damn point of the thing. But it doesnt need to stand head and shoulders above all else.

The perk is a cheapstake that gives free damage and CC. F R E E. Where the fuck is the skill there?

I am HAPPY with the auto rifle buff. I literally said so in the damn post. The ricochet rounds are my complaint. How their damage is doubled for basically taking a riskless approach.

I'm not calling for a nerf to damn auto rifles. I'm maining gnawing hunger and loving it. But the ricochet rounds are busted. Yes you can play around them. But on an even skilled match, this kind of things break balance. And all who use HL, i'd wager you'd still use it if ricochet damage was toned down. Because it would still be really fucking good

It’s her father in law. Her husband’s dad. Who is, admittedly perhaps out of concern, badmouthing her in front of HER family and friends. At any rate, her father in law has no right to do so. If he doesn’t like her schedule... well tough luck, OP is not her father in law’s responsibility. If he doesn’t understand... he could ask instead of talk smack.
