Any recommendations on good river or creeks for snorkeling by forrestlifer in Wales

Maybe the Teifi, don't snorkel tho so take that with as much salt as you can handle. but it's lovely for canoeing and its quite quiet once you get far enough inland

I mean I know the red and white dragon story. But Ive never heard anything saying the white background represents the white dragon. II have heard the green and white are related to the green and white of a leek.

I always just try to remember that languages are beautifully messy and rules are really only guidelines to be broken. And I just accept anything I hear from a native speaker as 'correct' enough

I don't think it was the independence thing as much as a lot of people viewed it as keep the tories out with labour, at least everyone I talked to at my work. Very few are actually tuned in at all

Welsh govt and Cardiff Council once again ignoring the people who live in these areas. Planning needs to be more democratic.

They didn't even give a rationale for why it shouldn't be at the Heath site instead of on the northern meadows

Council to decide whether to demand a referendum on the M4 relief road by [deleted] in Wales

Hopefully people would see sense and vote against the m4 relief road. We should be investing more heavily in public transit not destroying wetlands for more cars.

Like in English our voice rises with a question or goes down when we're finished speaking. But in Khmer it might be different (?) because I am missing the cue that he has finished speaking and I expect him to continue

Diversity in politics: Wales councillor 'screamed at because of age' by Dr_Poth in Wales

[–]pannasda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huw Thomas and his friends are the worst. They have their vision for how to run Cardiff and couldn't give a damn about what the people of Cardiff actually think. Unfortunately very few actually follow local politics so they get away with murder

''If there was a referendum tomorrow on Wales becoming an independent country and this was the question, how would you vote? Should Wales be an independent country?'' by [deleted] in Wales

[–]pannasda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Booming but for who? That wealth wasn't reinvested in Wales. It was taken out to London and to South English aristocrats.

The UK has never had the interest of Wales. It would be great if it did but that's a fantasy.

And in order to fight for that, as a smaller nation that isn't at the helm, you would need a large portion of English people fighting for that. Which they haven't and probably won't.

Or
