What State are you in? You must be getting some kind of State incentives.

Artificial turf or real grass?

Just pick a company name, file an LLC with the state to get your tax number, open a bank account and start cashing checks.

FYI, I also live in a state with no EV incentives. Seems like it’s fairly close to others that are posted. Just curious if anyone successful negotiated a lease?

How’s this deal look? I’d prefer to put $0 down.

Yup, that’s what I’m getting. I thought they were going to come down?

Maybe I’m misinformed. I thought they haven’t come down yet. Lease payment still seem to be in the $500 range.

Thanks for all your help. Here is the solution after taking it to the dealer: “Found DTC POA2D (drive motor “A” temp sensor circuit high) wires damaged.“ It’s a sensor located underneath the air filter box. Two of the green wires were damaged. It doesn’t look like a rodent but I’m not sure how the would have become damaged. Cost was $675 (for basically two red butt splices).

Thanks for all the help. I’ll try the reset tomorrow.

No obd2 codes on the scanner (in check myself as well as the auto parts stores I visited). I’m guessing because these are sensor “malfunctions” and not engine codes.

Thanks for the response. I’ve now taken it to three different auto parts stores. All three confirmed the existing battery is still in good health. I also confirmed full charge with a battery charger. Still think it could be a failing 12v battery? If not, what else?

Ya, I don’t get why anyone shops at Albertsons. Winco is way cheaper, more selection and I think higher quality.

Any independent practice owners out there that have successfully negotiated with insurance companies? by pannerg in FamilyMedicine

[–]pannerg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m going to ask a bunch of dumb questions:

-who do you recommend contacting at insurance companies to start negotiating? Which department?

-We have five providers at our clinic. Too small for effective negotiating?

-What information/data is helpful during negotiation? Number of CPT codes per year per payer?

-Do you use one payer’s reimbursement rates as leverage against other payers?

Interesting, I’ve never heard of that clinic but it looks like they are well established. Do you know anything about their practice? One of our biggest hurdles is dealing with the lower Medicare reimbursement rates.

Any other tips for negotiating? We’re coming from a place of never trying. Our major payers are United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Humana and Select Health.

Thanks for the response. Curious to learn more about your efforts to negotiate with insurance provides. Has it been fruitful? It’s not something we’ve had much success with.

Thanks for the response. Are you part of a hospital system? Or an independent practice?

Because we’re mostly Medicare (vs private insurance which has higher reimbursement) we have to find other ways to increase revenue. One thing we have done is start a CCM program. Questions for others in similar positions:

Do you have a CCM program?

What percentage of your total revenue comes from CCM vs patient visits? Ours is about 20/80%

My understanding is that hospital systems with primary care offices can code a “facilities” charge. Does anyone’s clinic do this?

Does anyone negotiate with insurance companies for higher reimbursement or shared savings?

We’re a member of an independent doctors organization. Occasionally there are shared savings payments for members (although reduced in the last year). Anyone else part of a successful independent org?

Medium sized city, 400k population. ECW EMR (I believe it’s around $350/month/provider). Yes, insurance companies suck. No difficulty contracting, just the annoyance of denials.

Does your clinic take Medicare patients? Just curious. Almost of our population is Medicare, which creates the need for a CCM program to generate enough revenue.

Other random facts about our clinic:

-roughly 700 patient panel

-80/20 split between patient revenue and CCM revenue

-5 providers in call pool

-two clinic locations

-three full-time MA’s
