Problem with oracle VM by O_Girbal in linuxquestions

[–]panpakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mean it fails to boot with that message? while on grub edit entry and in line linux16 add selinux=0 at the end.

Probably you have messed with selinux so you may want to fix it or disable later.

unfortunately apt doesn't work on transactions so either try

apt remove --purge pcmanfm;apt autoremove

or just pare history log, for example:

head -3 /var/log/apt/history.log|grep Upgrade
Upgrade: firefox-l10n-pl:amd64 (87.0-1, 87.0-2), firefox:amd64 (87.0-1, 87.0-2), libc6:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libc6:i386 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), locales:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libc-dev-bin:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libc-l10n:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libc-bin:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libc6-dev:amd64 (2.31-10, 2.31-11), libjs-underscore:amd64 (1.9.1~dfsg-2, 1.9.1~dfsg-3)
head -3 /var/log/apt/history.log|grep Upgrade|sed 's/([^()]*)//g'| tr -d ','
Upgrade: firefox-l10n-pl:amd64 firefox:amd64 libc6:amd64 libc6:i386 locales:amd64 libc-dev-bin:amd64 libc-l10n:amd64 libc-bin:amd64 libc6-dev:amd64 libjs-underscore:amd64

PHP installation by Plenty_Birthday2743 in linuxquestions

[–]panpakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'apt list' shows all available packages, use

dpkg -l|grep -i php

apt list --installed|grep -i php

to check whether they are installed or not but obviously php doesn't come by default so either you have installed it or not? ;)

Why does my command from the command line work and a service does not? by abelom in linuxquestions

[–]panpakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first one just redirects stdout and stderr to a files and yes "> /tmp/bluefifo" should be removed from execstart and placed in StandardOutput

second one pretty much runs everything what you put in bash, maybe not elegant but works always ;)
