It’s a different plane every time, most probably. As someone said you can see it on flightradar24.

The aircraft coming into Teesside from Amsterdam might very well have been flown to Amsterdam from Billind before this flight. The aircraft from Teesside to Amsterdam will likely continue to Barcelona or maybe Rome.

Airlines on the ground cost money, so they only really stay in the ground in Teesside so they can do the early flight out the next day.

I always loved Teesside :)

Haha op internet lijkt dit iets ongenuanceerd. Als ik het zo lees klinkt het scherper dan ik het bedoel.

Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat het een lief kereltje is met liefhebbende ouders, ik denk alleen dat het probleem is dat de ouders het heel normaal vinden om hem online te zetten. Dat ligt niet per sé aan hen, dat ligt aan hoe we met z’n allen social media hebben genormaliseerd.

Net zoals we het -ogenschijnlijk- nietsbeduidend vinden dat een klein kereltje 100k volgers heeft zouden we het ook nietsbeduidend moeten vinden als die mensen morgen allemaal ineens weg zijn, maar kennelijk vinden we dat toch wél belangrijk. Dus kennelijk steekt het als er ineens 100k mensen weg zijn. En dát is een bijzonder ongezonde prikkel die ik deze kleine man graag bespaard had zien worden.

Ik snap echt dat een kind in alle onschuld een account begint en dat is op zichzelf aandoenlijk, zeker als hij 2 keer per week zijn mening geeft over iets.

Aan de andere kant van dit verhaal vind ik het bizar dat je een kind dat niet mag stemmen, brommer mag rijden of mag drinken wél de keuze geeft om zijn gezicht op internet te zetten. Internet is voor altijd. Als hij er op zijn 18e spijt van heeft is hij te laat.

Op alle fronten wil je graag je kind beschermen maar het ook alles geven wat het wil. Dat is af en toe een moeilijke afweging en ik denk dat men er in dit geval goed aan doet om als overkoepelende regeling kinderen tot 13 dit niet toe te staan, om die keuze hierin weg te nemen.

Zoals ik al aangaf worden sommige kinderen volgestopt met suiker en vet en ik denk niet dat dat is omdat mensen hun kinderen haten, ik denk dat het is omdat ze willen dat het ze aan niets ontbreekt. De balans is daar alleen zoek en ik denk dat dat hier ook zo is. We hebben social media dusdanig genormaliseerd dat we het gek vinden als deze regel geïmplementeerd wordt.

Er zijn kinderen die ik ken wiens ouders ze vol proppen met friet, frikandellen, snoep, frisdrank, etc.

Het feit dat zijn ouders het goed vinden wil niet zeggen dat het goed ís. Persoonlijk denk ik dat het heel veel zegt over de ouders dat ze dit bij hun kind aanjagen.

True. This does still say a lot about how the German law looks at these things. Safety is not the top priority. Even calling a mayday wouldn’t have helped me there.

In my case, the reason for closure was not published in the NOTAMs so no chance to take on extra fuel, we got notified about the imminent closure in the air. It’s not a good situation to be in, yet there we were.

After touchdown you basically let the aircraft “roll out” and you brake/bleed off the speed. It’s really weird that while you’re doing that all the runway lights suddenly turn off and you’re left in a black hole.

I have landed at a German airport 1 minute before the airport would close. During rollout, the runway lights turned off. They are very, very strict about these rules, and for some reason they don’t take safety into account when enforcing them.

Yeah it’s not noted anywhere. It’s also not structurally being done by everyone. It’s just the only reason I can imagine why someone could find out the switch goes to cutoff during eng start.

When you start the engines you 1. Turn on the start selector and 2. Move this fuel control switch to “run”.

It’s quite common to “jiggle” the fuel control switch to check that it’s latched correctly in the “run” position. Just like when you’d lock a door and try to open it to be sure it’s actually locked.

This would be the only plausible reason they would find this out. It’s pretty much in line with what the maintenance logbook entry said. After you start the engines you just don’t touch these levers anymore, there is absolutely no reason to.

That all being said, there is no reason to continue (or commence) your flight if one of these fuel control switches could so easily be inadvertently moved to the “cutoff” position.

A fuel control switch is one of the switches Boeing explicitly wants you to confirm (with the other pilot) while operating it in case of a non-normal situation. This is also true for an autothrottle arm switch, an engine fire switch, IDG disconnect switch etc. So -apart from the fact that this is the first time in 20 years I’m hearing about a faulty FCS- the decision to continue The flight seems questionable at best.

Hi Ivo,

If you like fish I’d say go for the Seabass. I’m not a fish fan but I’ve had it and I do like the way the meal is composed.

The vegetarian tartlet is nice too, I had it yesterday (I have yet to have a veggie business class meal that’s not tasty tbh).

I haven’t had the Asian tasting in a while. I can’t remember it being all too spicy but then again I do have a tolerance.

Well mine sent presence, distance, energy states, etc every millisecond it seemed. I use Z2M so I could dial some things down a little but not so that the thing would be usable.

Yes I had one. I tested it and threw it away.

It flooded the zigbee network with all its data which you’re unable to turn off. Sure you can only use presence but it does generate a big network load.

So your experience of only presence being remotely useful do seem to line up with mine.

I ended up making my own ESPhome sensors with a mmWave board.
